  LipSync problem, why ?
Posted by: LH.se - 2006-08-07, 02:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

Hi,

I have an ATI550 TV-tuner, and have always, as far as I remember, have slipping lipsync problems. I have now decided to try to get to the bottom of this problem...

I have an ATI550 TV-tuner, nVidia 7900GT graphics card, A X2 4400+ AMD cpu, and a few other things. On top of this, the software is nVidia PureVideo (Thanks to TheaterTek), GBPVR. I do NOT have ffdshow - it has never been installed - so it is not ffdshow problem (which other seems to have had). Operating system is MCE2005 latest version all fixes available applied. Latest driver on ATI andf nVidia.

Any ideas ?

Or should I simply just change to another TV-tuner card manufacture ?

Lose Key mappings - actually funny keys too
Posted by: jam_zhou - 2006-08-07, 12:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Sometimes GBPVR would lose key mappings. At lesat the arrow keys don't work, for remote or keyboard. The mouse seems to work though. I think the keys actually get remapped - e.g. right got mapped to up and left got mapped to down. I have to restart GBPVR to get the key mappings done properly.

My logs are attached.

Note, for some reason my logs say something about Music Library2, but I don't use it.

Other notes, I use ultarVNC and HIP.

S-Video to RCA - color loss?
Posted by: mixedup - 2006-08-07, 12:01 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

Hi all,

I was just connecting the S-Video (TV) output of my graphics card to a TV I have which has a RCA video input (i.e. yellow RCA connected). I'm seeing the picture however it is in Black & White. I've tried various line format settings etc. I am using an S-Video to RCA (Yellow, Red/White) cable that came with the graphics card.

Is there a general color issue trying to go from a recent graphics card (S-Video) output to an older TV RCA (yellow connector) input do you know?

If yes is there a way around this?

Cheers

How to show TVguide current programs in different color?
Posted by: River_Styx - 2006-08-07, 11:56 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

Can anyone help me with making it possible to see programs in the TVguide which are currently on the air in a different color?

So on all channels you will see which programs are on the air on that moment?

For example all programs have a blue color and the current programs green?

Can anyone give me some pointers in the right direction?

  Please Help! Streamlining Post Processing
Posted by: MattBurchett - 2006-08-07, 11:17 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (4)

Hello All,
I'm a little new to GBPVR, having just recently switched from MediaPortal. I have to say that I'm much happier with this program. The only setup issue I'm having is getting the post processing of recordings setup properly.
Right now, I'm using comskip after the recording has cmpleted and running comclean to cut out those pesky ads. That combination is working great and if anything, comskip is a little too permissive. By that I mean that it is more likley to leave some commercials in place than to mark show material and comclean butcher my recording.
I want to get it setup so that the file is transcoded to DivX AFTER comskip and comclean have done their magic. Right now, the transcoding starts at the same time as comskip and I end up with an mpg with no commercials and an avi with them. I would also like to have the transcoded file replace the original, leaving me at the end of all processes with one tiny little avi file in the folder(disk space is an issue for me). Any help is appreciated.

P.S. How can I adjust the DivX encoding properties? I had tried to run them through Converter manually, but DivX wants me to buy a $9.99 mpg plugin! I can't find anywhere in the DivX group with the encoder properties.
Thanks again,
Matt Burchett

can i output converted files to a different folder?
Posted by: fuzzweed - 2006-08-07, 11:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Can I tweek the config file so that GBPVR will save re-encoded videos to a different folder. I'd ideally like to keep the program name folder too though.

So for example
\recordings directory\ program name\program.mpg
is the original recording, and
\reencoded videos\ program name\program.mp4
is the output folder for GBPVR's post processed file.

possible or not????

  TV Listing Problem
Posted by: Beaky - 2006-08-07, 10:25 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi All,

I've got an odd problem with the TV listings when using the Advisor (excellent) skin and MCE theme (although all themes exhibit the same problem).

What happens is that the listings look fine but I get two blank lines after the normal channels (see image attached). It's not a massive problem but I'd like to get rid of them. I just can't see what's causing them to appear though. (If I switch to the default Blue skin then the problem goes away.)

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,

CC

  Advisor problem
Posted by: frumbert - 2006-08-07, 07:21 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

I just tried out advisor. I downloaded the extra two dll's, which turned out were present in the gbpvr folder anyway. The one referenced by the wiki article was about 68k, while the one in the gbpvr folder was about 160k. Now I get:

7/08/2006 5:17:20 PM.046 ERROR [1] Error: msg=0x100 (WM_KEYDOWN) hwnd=0x30110 wparam=0xd lparam=0x1 result=0x0 : System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'GbpvrUiElements, Version=1.0.2327.33466, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. Where can I get a working version of this plugin with all the nessesary files needed to run it?

"No tuners are available to watch the requested channel"
Posted by: bfritton - 2006-08-07, 06:03 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hey all, I've been using GBPVR for a while flawlessly, but tonight I tried to watch some live tv and I got this message... "No tuners are available to watch the requested channel. You can choose to watch one of the currently recording programmes." Then I get these options "Don't watch TV" and "Watch: Cops" I guess that cops is currently recording, but i can't find a way to stop it so that I can just watch TV. Can someone help me out please. Thanks! PS: yeah i know it's a noob question.
