  Purevideo Decoder 1.02-223 official release
Posted by: csy - 2006-07-01, 08:04 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder...trial.html

If you have a non-trial key for a previous version, it will work on this version. However those using trial keys on a previous version cannot upgrade (it installs but will not work).

Nvidia Notes:
Version 1.02-223 of the NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder includes the following changes and fixes since version 1.02-196:

Feature Change
• Removed the Smart De-interlacing mode.
Use the NVIDIA Control Panel to control driver cadence.

Windows Media Player
• Windows Media Player 10: Fixed a problem where playback of some transport stream files, such as MPE2 HD, resulted in an “unsupported file type” error message stating that Windows Media Player cannot play the file.
• Windows Media Player 10: Fixed a problem where playing a DVD in overlay mode and then switching between windowed and full-screen DOS resulted in a gray video window.

Decoder APIs
• Fixed a memory leak in the trp demux GetProgramInfo() interface.
• Fixed a probel where the PureVideo Decoder did not play an HD stream from a recorded source.

  Installation error [wmppia]
Posted by: stellarenergy - 2006-07-01, 06:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi everyone, I'm new and this is my first try at GBPVR.

I have a Shuttle XPC, Athlon 2700, 1 Gb RAM, DViCO Plus board, Nvidia graphics. I installed Win2k Professional SP4, let all the updates from MS install and then installed the DViCO software (latest release). All good, no problems, great picture. The software updates from MS included Directx 9 and .NET 2 and WMP 10.

I felt confident before installing the latest build of GBPVR. But very quickly an error message appeared. It read:

"An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'wmppia, version="9.00.3095", Culture="neutral", PublicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35", GUID="6bf52a50-394a-11d3-b153-00c04f79faa6". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8002802F"

I searched the forums for an answer, and six months ago there was some problem that could be like this and the workaround was to install .NET1 over the top of .NET 2. I am very wary of doing this as I understand GBPVR needs v2.

Can anyone guide me through a workaround or some resolution?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

Michael

No OSD, Video only works after ctrl-alt-del
Posted by: foxt - 2006-07-01, 05:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I've searched through the forum for a solution to this problem, but haven't found one.

New user / install of GB-PVR. WinXP Pro SP2, Visiontek ATI 550, PNY geforce 6200 128mb AGP.

When I launch livetv, I get a black screen and no audio. I can get to video/audio if I ctrl-alt-del to get into task manager, then simply cancel out of task manager. It takes me back to my GB-PVR session and I can then watch TV, change channels, get back to the menu screen, etc. I just do not have OSD. Also, I can record, but I get a black screen again when I try to launch playback (same ctrl-alt-del trick does not work, although I do get audio).

Have tried numerous decoders (currently using nvidia, tried many others that all seemed to have the same result). I think I tried most of the other solutions to any "black screen" posts I found. Most of those seem to be related to either a missing codec, or vmr9 problems, or something else that didn't apply here. Has anyone seen this before? Is it possibly related to my video card (this same rig worked under MCE, I thought I'd experiment with GB-PVR because I want o get away from MCE).

I have attached my logs.

Posted by: deeps - 2006-07-01, 04:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hey, is it possible to change the audio track from track 1 to track 2 in GBPVR?

Particularly for satellite tv channels.

Cheers

  Zap2it down??
Posted by: jch - 2006-07-01, 04:30 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Is anyone else currently having problems with Zap2it?

Mine has been working fine all week, but tonight when I re-configured my GB-PVR from scratch (deleted gbpvr.mdb), it now gives errors (500-server error) when I try to do my initial Update EPG.

Which means no channels. No recordings. Nothing. I'm in GB-PVR withdrawl!!! Smile

Zap2it / Canada

Anyone else seeing problems with Zap2it tonight?? Or could it be something else?

Thanks!

  failed to find crossbar issue
Posted by: slugbug - 2006-06-30, 10:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I wanted to thank everyone who suggested that I install the Microsoft Net framework. I am not used to having to install one program before I can install another one, but that seems to have fixed the problem, and now gbpvr installs just fine. I am very impressed with all of the ways you can customize choices and behaviors in the program.

Unfortunately, I still can't get it to run. I remember reading that it supposedly supports V-stream cards.

Anyone know if a Kworld card with a Conexant 878a chipset should work? I don't see it in the list, nor do I see any sort of chipset list or generic to try. From what I've seen of this program, I think I would truly prefer it over the WinDVR 3 software that I had just about ordered yesterday. However, it all hinges on whether or not there is even the possibility that it would work with my card.

I've also heard that a Kworld HDTV tuner card is available for about $70. Will the gbpvr software work with something like that? If it comes down to a choice between plunking down $70 for a new copy of WinDVR 3, and plunking down $70 for a new HDTV tuner card, I think I'd rather get the TV Tuner card for my money.

  MyMusic v2.1.0.2 Object reference error
Posted by: xinl - 2006-06-30, 08:44 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (4)

Using the default Blue skin, I unfortunately get the following error,
ERROR:Unable to find named image: /settings/CompositeImages/CompositeImage [@name="TextBox"]

Which results in the Object Reference error and no Music.

Anyone have any tips? Is there a skin with better support for MyMusic? Or should I try an older or newer version?

here is the full log.

XINL
