Not sure why as it seems like it should be simple but when I install xrecord using the latest download the install process goes fine but when GB is told to restart after the install I get this error:
Failed to load resources from resource file
Please check your Setup
Can't run GB config or restart recording service at all. No errors in any of the logs that I can see...
Has anyone besides me had a problem with scheduled recordings failing because a live tv show is using the tuner? The scheduled recording used to knock me out of live TV when using the MVP but now it doesn't. This is really useful if my kids leave the MVP running on live TV and just turn the TV off. I think I have all the current patches. It works fine if I am watching live TV through my pc, but it will fail a recording if the MVP has control of the tuner. Any ideas?
I think a great change would be to update the config app to only restart the recording service when needed. A lot of the options in the config utility do not (to my knowledge) require a restart of the recording service but do anyhow. In example, it gets a little difficult to change from the secondary monitor to primary monitor if you are recording.
when using sqlite as gbpvr database, I get an error message saying "GBPVR.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." when closing GBPVR directly after it has just been opened.
I think that it has something to do with the sqlite database provider, because when attaching to the gbpvr-process in visual studio, an unhandled exception is raised when closing gbpvr. The exception is:
System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException wurde nicht behandelt. (<= "was not handled")
Message: SQLite error
library routine called out of sequence
The output window of visual studio:

The GBPVR.exe.log doesn't contain anything suspicious, the last entry is "NetRadio buffer size is: 96000".
This problem is reproducible here:
- Start GBPVR
- Close GBPVR immediately
Any ideas? Or could anyone confirm this so that the problem has nothing to do with my setup? Thanks in advance.
If I try to schedule a recording of a program at a time when another is scheduled, I get the normal box that asks if I'd like to cancel the new recording or the old one. However, when I choose to cancel the one that has been previously scheduled, I get a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error.
I've attached my GBPVR.exe log, because that should be the most relevant one. If others are necessary I'll attach them as well.

If this is not the right place for this post, please move...
I have had GBPVR running fine for months, but since the weekend I have lost some UK freeview DVB channels from Mendip transmitter. My Nova-t PCI cards seem to need a very strong signal to work, and in bad weather ( rain ) some channels break up, but since the weekend ITV1, ITV2 , Channel4, Channel 5, E4 and a few others have gone completely - totally blank screen not even pixelated. Other channels BBC1, BBC3 etc are fine. I was about to do a rescan last night but the missing channels suddenly reapeared.
If anybody else has seen this then its a transmitter problem and I can rest easy. If not it may be my setup ( aerial moved ? , poor connection -?I havn't changed anything).
WAF taken a bit of a hit without "Emmerdale". She said last night "can't we put a tape in the VCR"
I have noticed that this version is a little less stable than previous versions probably due to differences in the net2.0 framework and the covnversion to sql probably add to the issues. I can certainly understand how many little things can creap through but even with these issues it is still a great program.
My problem this time, another minor annoyance like th recording service not starting, is that the GUI, gbpvr.exe occasionally disappears. I have had it happen three times now which doesn't sound bad until you realize that I had never had it happen before now. There is never any sort of error on screen but there are errors recorded in the logs. I am attaching a zip file with three sets of logs for bug tracing. Each time I think I was doing something like a backskip or pause / resume, nothing extraordinary.
Perhaps add some sort of manual Cancel Recording button/option somewhere in the system tray dialogs, maybe in Show Status, that cancels and deletes a recording. This would be useful for repeat programming that the EPG cannot detect for whatever reason.
I would like to see some kind of sorting in the Wiki. For example, I would like to see all latest plugins? or the ones added/updated since my last visit?
For example, how can I find if any of the plugins have updated themselves to support 97.7?
