New to GBPVR - grouping channels and a few more q's...
Posted by: deeps - 2006-05-24, 09:10 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

hi,

Im new to gbpvr, so bare with me

My specs are as follows

P4 1.9ghz Intel
640mb ram
DNTV Live! Pro! Tv Tuner card dvb-t
Twinhan Sat-CI DVB-S PCI Card
ATI Radeon 9250 Sapphire 128mb

Ok now for my q's

1) Is it possible to 'seperate' the satellite channels from the terrestrial? Or group them somehow?

2) Is it possible to get an OSD of the channels when i change?

3) Where do i scan for FM radio channels?

4) Is there a list of skins for gbpvr somewhere? If not, i think it would be a good idea, to have it somewhere in the wiki Tongue

That's all for now i think, i was hoping i could keep this thread as a 'running' thread, whilst i set up my htpc, instead of creating a thread for each new issue.

Or is it better that i create a new one? I'll be hoping for quick answers of course Tongue

Thanks

Hi,

Is there any way to incoorporate the streaming music service http://www.pandora.com in GBPVR. Perhaps through a plugin?

  Problems with install of 9707
Posted by: Tasty Puppy - 2006-05-24, 04:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I am having some problems with installing the latest version of GBPVR 09707. I previoously had 09608 installed. I went though and tried to delete all of my plugins and files. I have changed locations since my computer had been on last, so I would have to change everythign anyways. After going through the install process, I get an error box. I have attached it. What could I be forgeting in the install? Should I have just loaded over top of the old version? Gah, I want my GBPVR back!

  Hauppauge 43 button remote question
Posted by: gbpvrlover29 - 2006-05-24, 12:46 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (6)

Hey all,

I just got a hauppauge usb2 pvr2 with the 43 button remote. I have a few questions about it:

1. Is it compatible with Gbpvr, because it only looks like there are options for the 45 and the 34 button remote? I chose one then the other and it doesnt seem like all the buttons are supported. This is because as I am watching GBpvr, i will get a message that says Found IR Controller(34) FW Version=0. Before this message, some buttons on the remote work, but after it, no buttons work.

2. Should I look into a program like HIP, I would definitely be interested in learning it if it would work with this device, the only reason why I think it wouldnt work is because the ir reciever is built into the usb device. Does anyone know if this will work?

3. I am running gbpvr on a new laptop and am running gbpvr on an external display. LiveTV works fine but only if there is a bar on top of the screen(ie in full screen mode it still has the windows _ []X in the corner. If i hit alt+enter, it goes away, but then the video gets choppy. Has anyone experienced this and if so is there any work around?

I appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks in advance

Is anyone interested in selling off their old wired MVP in order to buy the new 802.11g model?
I would like to pick an older wired unit. USPS postage to Canada is not a problem. PM me if you are interested.

New UbuStream version for 97.7 release
Posted by: ubu - 2006-05-23, 09:52 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (8)

A new version (v1.5) of the UbuStream plugin is now available on the wiki. This version is for use with GBPVR 97.7 (requires .Net 2.0) and works with either MS Access or SQLite. For those using UbuStream in channel mode, the latest version (v1.0) of the External Recorder plugin is required.

For those who have not upgraded to 97.7, the "legacy" version (v1.3) is still available for download from the wiki.

External Recorder plugin now works with 97.7 release
Posted by: ubu - 2006-05-23, 09:37 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - No Replies

A new version (v1.0) of External Recorder has been added to the wiki. This version is fully 97.7 compliant (.Net 2.0 and SQLite support). Except for minor cosmetic changes, this version should be functionally equivalent to the v0.9 version.

For those who have not upgraded to 97.7, the "legacy" version (v0.9) is still available for download from the wiki.
