I tried my hand at 0.9707 again, and it looked like it was working ok, until it hit a scheduled recording and I got one of Microsoft errors.
This is the error: EventType clr20r3, P1 gbpvr.exe, P2 1.0.2325.30009, P3 1b, P4 system.drawing, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4333aeaf, P7 13e, P8 3d, P9 system.outofmemoryexception, P10 NIL.
It happened right when it was supposed to start recording a recurring show.
I've attached my zip. Incidentally, it recorded fine.
Could it be that the recurring stuff was set under pre-09707 system (perhap even through x-record), and since the upgrade and the database being all different, it crashed the system?
Hi all. I just installed GB-PVR and it looks great. I'm having an issue when I try and update the EPG for the first time. I have a Zap2It account so not sure what the problem is. Here is the error that pops up:
I've read around the forums and I think this is possible but noone else seems to have tried exactly what I'm thinking of.
I'd like to have my mpg2 files (from a pvr250) with embedded closed captioning transcoded ... into another mpg2 file but with burnt in captions in the image so that they will display when viewed by the mediamvp.
I'm not sure if the transcoding mechanisms get used if the source file is already an mpg2 file - so I'm not clear how to even go about doing this.
Ultimately, I want to make the transcode process consist of
read mpg2 -> decode and render video + captions to frame buffer -> recode to mpg2 -> stream to mediamvp.
Obviously the bitrate will need to be fairly high to handle the sharp edges of the captioning text but I can live with that.
So how would I start? can I do this with ffdshow or ffmpeg? or do I need to write a custom transcoder application - and if so how do I get mediamvp with or without gbpvr to use it? (I'm aware that gbpvr might not be part of this solution, but I'm happy to entertain the gbpvr framework if it works =)
97.7 is a great release. I really like the System screen, and I was thrilled to see the Update EPG button. One other feature I would like to see if possible is a capture source status screen, possibly in the System screen. I do not have a keyboard or mouse on my GBpvr server, so there is no way for me to quickly see which capture source is doing what without starting a VNC session from another computer. Not a big deal, just a little something the might be useful.
