Hi,
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this problem. I've had it for a while but i was waiting to see if the new version would fix it. Anyway it hasn't so heres the problem. Hopefully somebody will have seen it before.
I do my epg update using the dvb broadcast in the uk (freeview via nova t usb 2). It works fine apart from one problem. Every time it runs it seems to add a strange teletext channel to the bottom of the channel list. If i delete it, it just reappears after i run the epg update again.
I've attaced a screenshot to show you what i mean.
Has anyone else seen this?
cheers

I've posted about this in the past because I've tweaked the picture the way I like it but I tried so many solutions that I was never sure exactly what variables were contributing to the picture.
I recently did a complete reinstall and was able to do a clean test to make sure I know what software settings were responsible for the picture. Here's my hardware setup:
GeForce4 420MX
Pentium 4 2.6
1 GIG RAM
56" sdtv
FFDshow post-processing disabled.
Install Dscaler and choose it as your default video decoder in the config app. Click on video decoder settings and go to deinterlace settings and choose the setting that works best for you. Force Weave worked best for me.
Some may ask why you would want to deinterlace a picture when you're displaying it on a interlaced screen... Well the short answer is that it looks better. The long answer, while not very technical, has to do with the fact that the original interlaced picture is shrunk/expanded to fit the gbpvr resolution (800x600 in my case) then it's re-shrunk/expanded to NTSC resoltion and probably re-interlaced which hoses the pre-interlaced even more.
re.:GBPVR v0.97.7
I am the author of SlimmGBPVR, a replacement tray utility.
I have the following section of code which gets stuck on the LoadRecordingSchedule() line. It spews out what looks like an endless loop of error messages to the log file (attached) complaining about the BDA recording source.
My program is written in C# under the .NET 2.0 framework.
GBPVRPublic.dll and GBPVRBackendCommon.dll are loaded on this LoadRecordingSchedule() call. My program gets no further. It doesn't fire an exception and after a while, I just break into the program to stop it.
Code:
// Get complete recording schedule
IList RecordingScheduleList = null;
try
{
RecordingScheduleList = ScheduleHelper.getInstance().LoadRecordingSchedule();
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
Trace.TraceError("ERROR: Could not RefreshSchedule." +
"\n" + ex.ToString());
}
The log: [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
My setup:
Four recordings devices:
Freeview #1 - BDA Terratec Cinergy 2400i 1
Freeview #2 - Terratec Cinergy 2400i 2
Analogue 1 - Hauppauge PVR500 1
Analogue 2 - Hauppauge PVR500 2
Computer specs:
AMD 3200XP (not overclocked)
2Gb RAM
Nvidia 7800GT
Windows XP Home
.NET2.0 Framework installed
File specs:
GBPVRPublic.dll version 1.0.2324.34331, size 65536 bytes
GBPVRBackendCommon.dll version 1.0.2324.26596, size 479232 bytes
RedRat.dll version 1.17.1608.24395, size 184320 byte
DriverWrapper.dll size 16384 bytes
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. If I can supply any more info regarding my setup, just ask.
PS. I thought the red icon was a question mark, sorry. I am not giving you the thumbs down at all, in any way. Sorry.
I must be missing something. I have 0.96.12 and two MVPs. The system has been running since sometime last year, with a recent upgrade to 0.96.12. Not really had a problem until now.
Now one MVP is stuck on the 3 out of 5 bar screen.
I can see that it requests a DHCP address
Receives a DHCP address
Broadcasts to 16867
In the GBPVR log, I can see a incoming request and response.
And thats it.
I haven't rebooted the other, incase that gets stuck too!
If I switch off GBPVR and switch on hauppauge, I get to the contacting server screen. What am I missing. Recently to get it working I had to switch on and off between the two pieces of software to make it load.

Hi all I have been reading this site quietly for the last few months in preparing for my pvr build. Last Saturday (the 13th). I proceeded to build my PVR with the following specs:
Motherboard: Asus P4800D-X
CPU :2.8ghz P4
1 Gig Muskin Ram
Hauppauge 500
2 250 gig serial Hard drives
1 40 gig hard drive (for the OS)
XP Professional (SP1)
2 DVD drives (1 is a burner the other is just a player)
350 watt power supply
Video Card: ati radeon 9200se w/ TV out
GB-PVR
So here is the problem I am having I am currently using the generic drivers when I install the drivers for my video card from the CD and reboot all I get are vertical colored lines as output.
I got the latest catalyst drivers from the ATI site (did not work, PC kept rebooting after installing them)
I got the latest drivers for my MOBO (no change)
I got the ati omega drivers (did not work, got the same colored lines as output)
I installed service pack 2 (did not work, got the same colored lines/bars, uninstalled it after) :mad:
So after I wasted my weekend looking for drivers and having to uninstall them I have given up on the video card. So can someone please recommend a good video card with
TV/out that would give me high quality output to my monitor or TV for about $100 USD for the most.
I am looking at the Sigma Designs X Card is it good for providing the high quality full screen playback to my monitor or TV?
Can anyone confirm whether the Contour skin is working correctly on 0.97.7? I can wait to upgrade if not. Hard to give up Contour and SlimmGBPVR at the same time :eek:
I have had 2 instances now where my recordings cut out before they are completed. they are listed in the EPG as 1 hour and 3 hrs, but only recorded ~40 min and ~240 respectivly. I use NTFS for file system so that shouldnt be a problem. the 3 hour movie was around 7GB when it was complete but the 1 hour show wouldnt have been that big.
any suggestions? thanks! i dont get any error when this happens though. also every other show records fine.
