I am calling ScheduleHelper.CancelScheduledRecording() and finding that sometimes it works and sometime I get database locked errors. Here is a sample from my application's log file.

In this particular run I cancelled 30 pending recordings, 4 of which generated this error and 26 of which worked just fine.
I have been using GBPVR for over a year with great success. I have a very minor issue on playback of live TV and recorded MPEG. Around the top quarter of the screen I get occasional "picture tear". The best way I could describe this is refreshing a screen in the middle of a refresh when motion is taking place and the top part reflects one frame behind the remainder of the frame. This is not consistent and appears variable but it does appear to affect the screen when there is motion or a lot of picture detail.
I have checked CPU load when playback and it rarely goes above 30% and is very consistent. I am using 2 x WinTV Nova-T USB, 1 x WinTV 350, MSI Pentium M mainboard with 1.8Ghz Pentium M, Asus Geforce 6600 0db PCI Express 16, 1 Gb memory, 2 x 250Gb SATA disc. I have Windows XP Home SP2 with all updates, latest Direct X, latest Nvidia drivers etc. I am using winDVD for MPEG2 codec. The display device is Pioneer 436SXE or Hitachi TX200 projector with DVI->HDMI driven with a 720p signal (1280x720).
When I playback DVD the playback is fine both within GBPVR and WinDVD and the picture is awesome. I have no other issues with picture quality or GBPVR operation and it provides excellent performance. Also no problems playing any xvid, divx, wmv or wmvhd content and all play flawlessly.
This is mildly annoying to be so close to perfection and not able to determine the reason for the picture tear. Does anyone have any ideas what would be causing this or see any problems or issues with the hardware setup I am using? Any information or help would be gratefully received ....
In Windows XP X64 the web interface doesnt work, probably due to the file path being C:\Program files (x86)\devnz instead of just C:\Program files\devnz
Maybe its something wrong with my configuration somewhere?
First, thanks again for importing the zap2it unique-ID from an xmltv file with the new version v0.97.7!
Question, if one show has two different titles, but has the same Unique-ID.
And I "season record" both the premiere's and reruns.
Will it be recorded twice because the titles are different, or only once because the unique-id is the same?
I’m asking because the shows I mark as premiere’s, will eventually become reruns.
Is there also a way that comskip could be set up to run at a certain time. I'm recording hdtv and when comskip goes, it take up processing power and if I am recording a show right after another, then I get skipping. Would this be possible?
so, ok - thanks to all for clearing up my questions so far. This now represents the latest in my series of stupid questions:
so, to watch a dvd through the MVP i need xdvd - this is all good. I mucked about with it and I can watch the physical disk or the mounted iso from the daemon drive. lovely. almost..
Xdvd only shows you the main title
however, what if i want to watch the ENTIRE dvd, not just the main title?
Im thinking about ditching my dvd player, getting a surround sound amp and connecting this all up with some spdif / tos goodness. now, in order to get this working properly, im going to need to get into the menu of the dvd and select the sound output type - DTS, dolby etc, but if i go straight to the main title, i obviously cant do this...
i get the main title of a dvd if i go to play or play title in xdvd
so, using xdvd and an MVP can I watch ALL of the disk..
the answer to this question will determine more stupid questions on hooking things up to a surround sound amp...
I have been lookin in the cuboard and found a dual PIII 600Mhz motherboard with 2 600Mhz cpu's and 512Mb ram.
Has anyone tried running this software on win xp with a dual cpu set up? I know spec says 1Ghz min but 2X600Mhz should ease the load. this will be the only app running.
Just asking before i go out and spend a load of dosh (maybe unneccesarliy)on a new mboard+cpu+memory.
I am using a hauppage 350, everything worked correctly iwth .96 but when i installed .97 i had no tv out, i uninstalled and went back to .96, it is set to 350 decoder in the config.
