It seems that when I use windows media player to play net video, I get the visualizations, but no track info. If I disable windows media player, I get the track info and no visualizations. Any way I can get both?
Just wanted to let people know i've got my dvd burning plugin working very nicely now, and wanted to get feedback on other systems and suggestions....

New Features: Unlimited movies/disc, 1 menu page per movie, larger thumbnail snapshot, full title/subtitle/descriptions for each movie, comskip conversion to chapters for dvd, 'remove' only removes last file added....
working on: installer and may replace description lookup with sqlite commands, soon to include Imgburn.exe to burn instead of Nero! [free burner]
Basically it is a batch file that can burn a dvd, with menus created dynamically on the fly..
[even show titles etc. when used with Recinfo.exe addon]
Fast and only the space needed for final dvd structure is needed.. no temp files! [ok well almost..lol <1 meg]
it can be used from command-line or from the Transcode menu within GBPVR if used with my Mencoder plugin...
[!! If used from command line without my other plugin, you have to edit fmpeg.exe to ffmpeg.exe in batch file. !!]
It adjusts for up to now unlimited! movies per dvd,makes thumbnails and adds titles and burns the whole thing if you have Nero installed...

It's a regular batch file you can edit for your preferences, and even make ffmpeg re-compress on the way if you want..[check the variables at top of bat file] tho it's a really advanced batch file!!...lol [carefull..]

and if anybody can compile me a dvdauthor 5.4 i can make it a bit better..[i have Linux source but newbie at cross-compiles]

Am starting this as seperate thread as the mencoder plugin is more of a framework and this is more an end app..
Typical start to finish time is 30mins-1hr for full 4.7g dvd..

When I open up config to change my EPG provider to Zap2It, all seems well. Then if I tab to something else and tab back to Capture Sources, it changes back to XMLTV.
And this occurs with everything -- directory selections, etc. Nothing saves.
I'm sure I'm missing something simple -- but I've installed, uninstalled and installed again (twice) and can't seem to get it running.
System -- Athlon 64 dual-core 4400+, Win XP MCE 2005, ATI Theater Pro 550, Nvidia 7300 graphics, Comcast Cable.
Hi guys, just found this awesome program GBPVR and it works great... so that obviously isn't the problem =).
Thing is, I just bought the PVR 150 and have been setting it up for the past two days.... and I still haven't figured out the IR Blaster. I am using the newest software for it and here's what's happening:
-I have an American Directv Hughes HIRD-E1. I used the software to test all the available codes to use the box, but none of them worked, so I looked online.
I found http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/lmil...esets.html which listed my box under Hughes HIRDE1 (there is no slash, but i figured it was the same thing). The code set was 120, which translated to 0120 in the IR configuration app.
-So I try the turn on/off thing, the IR Blaster blinks (good thing i think), yet the box doesn't respond.
***So can the IR blink yet not transmit?
I have used another DTV box and did the same procedure yet no luck.
I have also tried placing the transmitter in different places, 1 inch in front of the circular receiver, right on it, on top of the box, moved it randomly around, tried far off.....
And yes i can change the box using the regular remote.
So if anyone could give any input, it would be great.

I have the latest version of GB-PVR, and I realized that it doesn't update automatically anymore. i have to always do it manually. At first I thought my system was not waking up to update, so I did all these things to assure that my system wakes up to update. But it was still not updating, so I disabled standby that way my system is always on. And it's still not udpating. I've attached my logs.
I've got the base skin and nothing else in the config drop down list. I can't make any of the skins I've downloaded work. My skins folder is now a mess of subfolders and files everywhere. Can someone please do a
dir /s > skins.txt
or a
dir /ad /s > skins.txt
and attach the skins.txt file to the post so I can see what the hell I've done wrong and where files are supposed to go and what the directory structure should actually be?
Most of the skins "documentation" seem to be written by people who know what they are doing and assume that we all do to. Which I don't. I'm new to this and it's all really confusing. All I really want to do is change the look. The appearance plugin seems to do this. I thought I unzipped it all properly and downloaded the extra dll thingy that it said to get and the skin pack and put it all in and went to the config, but neither the skin shows up or the plugin. Something has gone awry and I think a directory or file listing or screenshot of the folder from somebody elses working installation will set me straight - the documentation and forum posts sure aren't working.
