Could you please make the tv guide show the episode number and if it is a repeat or new episode?
Also I notice that the shows have categories (sitcom, drama, reality, talk, etc..) when you view the info. Could there be a way to view upcoming shows by category?
Am new to GB PVR. Have installed the software and have run it for a few days. Use it for watching digital TV and watching DIVX movies. I like what I see.
How do I set the aspect ratio of the playback? The vision is stetched to fill the 4:3 ratio, where it naturally should be 16:9. How can I influence the aspect ratio? I look forward to learned replies!
I've decided to try other skins and reading up on Mixmans baseskin. Looks really good and there seems to be alot of thought "system" behind it to make skining easy and changing skins easy too.
Trouble is how the hell (as an end user) do I install/use it?
I have some programs that comskip just works horrible on, so it would be nice to be able to turn comskip off for just those recordings whenever i set them up for a season record.
Is there any way that you can keep GBPVR from defaulting to the beginning of the list when cancelling a program that is pending recording?
I have a bunch of shows that I record, but my system always seems to record duplicates, even though I have don't record duplicates selected. So I have to manually go through the list of programs that are pending and cancel what I already have recorded. Each time I cancel a show, the cursor jumps to the first show in the list, then I have to scroll through a long list to find the next show to cancel, only to start over again. Is there any way that the cursor can just jump to the next or previous show after cancelling a show?
Ok, when i watch TV through LIVE TV and there is a lot of movement, you can see a ghosting effect. Its not severe, but its quite irritating compared to normal TV.
Is there any way i can reduce this? e.g by using a skin that is light on the ram/cpu?
Ive notice from reading the forums that people are using different software like GBPVR with their Media MVP. Do i just need to download GBPVR install and it detects my MVP through my router? Any help with the setup process would be welcome.
Is GBPVR capable of capturing directly from the firewire port of a digital cable box or HDTV? As I understand it, the firewire port outputs the direct mpeg stream. Of course, only unencoded non-premium channels could be recorded.
