I've been using GB-PBR for several months now, and it's been a very good application.
Suddenly, about two weeks ago, it started failing to update the EPG from Zap2it.
When I went into the Config, and tried to do it "manually", I kept getting the dialog box pop-up that said my EPG was improperly configured. Yet, it was the same as it had always been. And when I went to the Zap2it Web site, I could log in just fine.
In desperation, I removed GB-PVR and installed the latest release. (I like the new skin, BTW.) Again, in Config, after I have configured my Capture Source, when I try to update EPG, I get the same error.
Anyone have a pointer that will explain what I need to do, in order to get this working again?
is there a Windows version which allowes to use two useraccounts at the same time?
I'd like to see a setup, where I can run my GBPVR-useraccount on my TV (secondary screen) while working with another Account on my monitor (primary screen).
Hey - a weird one. My second monitor is working OK for GBPVR in windowless mode (I use the graphcis driver to send it there), but for recorded video the screen is black. For my AVI's its fine. Also the recorded video's work in windowed mode on the second monitor, but just not on the full-screen windowless mode. Any ideas?
The RadioTimes EPG I use seems to have different typists and they capitalise the program names differently. This results in different directory names and collections in GBPVR. Would it be possible to ignore the case of letters when creating filenames. On disk they seem to go into the same subdirectory fine, but when shown in the recordings menu they are split up.
Hello
Some of you out there, are very good at reading the logfiles and point out the problems in our setups... I would like to be able to troubleshoot my own setup by reading the logfiles, but i can not find any descriptions of the logfiles(which logfiles holds what information, what program-part maintaines which logfile etc.) .
Can i find this info somewhere, or could somebody create a short description ?
I had trouble finding all channels with my various BDA cards on Astra satellite. Two things solved my problem:
- change "BDAScanType" to 2 in config.xml
- replace the 0192.ini file in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\Dvb-s with the one from http://www.hauppauge.de/files/0192.ini
- rescan all channels again
Now all my missing stations are found.
Sub, you might considering to replace the original file for future releases as well.
HI all: I installed GBPvr 2 days ago, and now my computer will not shut down.
Normally I have the system setup so that when I hit the power switch, windows shuts down and then the computer fans etc shut off. Not anymore. I also try the software shutdown from within windows and it also will not shut the computer off.
All it will do is turn the monitor off. The keyboard Numlock LED stays on and the power supply fans keep running.
My Bios is set to power off with switch. I have standby and hibernate OFF in windows.
I also booted from a win95 floppy disk and I still cannot power off, so this leads me to believe winXP has nothing to do with it, BUT it all started since I installed GBpvr
What the devil could be wrong?
I cannot imagine anything GBPvr did, but I also did not make any other changes or software installs, and sure have not been into the Bios in a year until this wierd problem occured.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Here is a wallpaper for GBPVR. I searched for some but couldn't find any so I made one myself. I didn't look for long so I am sure there are some better out there.
Note: if this is not fair use of the logo I will take it down.
I just re-formatted and installed xp on my new HD. I installed gbpvr and the nvidia purevideo decoder. At the moment I have the nvidia decoder and the one that came with the hauppauge 150 card. I selected the nvidia from the list in config and fired up gbpvr. It used the nvidia decoder and displayed the icon in the taskbar.
The next day I started gbpvr again and this time I noticed the picture was quite different so I looked at the taskbar and there was no icon. I went to config and selected default. then I put the merit for nvidia to the highest and checked to make sure the other one was down. It was.
When I check the graph, it say's it is using: Hauppauge WinTV Color Format Converter 2.
The graoh from the log shows:
20:00:46.218 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
20:00:46.218 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
20:00:46.218 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
20:00:46.218 VERBOSE - ffdshow Audio Decoder
20:00:46.218 VERBOSE - GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder
20:00:46.218 VERBOSE - GB-PVR Parser
20:00:46.218 VERBOSE - SOURCE
any ideas as to what went wrong here? I've re-registered the nvidia decoder and re-installed as well. The nvidia entry is listed in gbpvr config as well.
I've got an MSI NX6600 VTD256 card - it's VIVO, so I hoped to see if I could get GB-PVR to work with it. It's not on the list of natively supported cards - from what I understand, then, my best shot at getting it to work would be the software recorder plugin at http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=2753. Is this correct? Thank you for your help, anyone that can point me in the right direction.
