Ok, so I'm a noob at this so just a few questions... I set everything up, signed up for a Zap2It account to download the guide info and yet I can't get a picture to show up... All I see is red and black lines across the screen... I have a Hauppauge 150 card and I just installed a MPEG2 video codec... When I run the Tunning Assistant it shows the channels fine, but I can't get it to run through the actual GB PVR program... Any ideas on what I should do to fix this? Let me know if there is any more info you need and I'll provide it...

On the recordings and videos pages it would be nice to have an arrow or something that indicates there are more videos/recordings than what is on the page. kind of like how the main menu has an arrow down or up if there are more menu options available. I searched this forum briefly for a similar request but did not see one, so sorry if this is a repeat.
Great software, would never consider using any other PVR software.
Is there anyway to extract an audio track from an mpeg video copied with GBPVR? I copied an episode of CMT Crossroads and would like to make a CD of the songs in the episode? What is the easiest and cheapest way to do it? Thanks.
I have a DVICO Fusion 5 lite and I have been doing some messing around with codecs and trying to get a lower cpu usage when playing back my dvr-ms reocrded shows and after installing and uninstalling programs I can no long see any live TV, there is no error only a black screen. I have tried the Micorosft, transport stream, and Cyberlink multiplexers. I can record shows fine and play them back with no problems. I can watch live TV with the goofy DVICO Fusion program. Snapstrem works in live TV mode also.
Due to some changes by my cable provider and my fooling with my zap2it lineups (removing a bunch of channels I don't watch trying to minimize the epg update load) I have a lot of empty lines in the epg, mostly the stuff I removed from my line-ups. I'd like to clean it up and I suppose the best way is to blow away the gbpvr.mdb file and start from fresh. As I understand it, the export function will export data about the stuff I've already recorded but is there any way to save and then restore the scheduled recordings, both one time and recurring? Or does the export also retain the scheduled info? I supposed I could just write it all down and then re-input it but I'm hoping there's a higher tech way to do it.
I have a funny problem with GBPVR on my nova-t 92003 card. I remember I had this problem the first day I installed it, but it went away and I don't recall how. It's worked fine for a month, now the problem is re-ocurring.
All channels are OK except ITV channels, and they all show the picture in just the top half of the screen, and are blocky. ocassionaly they display OK but changing channel returns to the squashed, corrupt pictures again. any ideas? I'm using the MS multiplexer.
AFAIK I haven't changed any settings, and the (loft mounted) aerial hasn't been moved.
Hello. I can't seem to get any plugins to show up in the config plugin list. I have placed the dlls or other files either in the "plugins" dir or the main GBDVR folder. I have placed any included skins in the skin folder and tried to place them in the main folder also. They don't make it onto the list of checkmarked plugins or onto the main screen of GB-DVR. Specifically the weather and DVD-ripper plugins.
What am I not doing or doing wrong? Do I need to edit the config.xml file? Some other file?
Any help is appreciated. Otherwise, all the basic install stuff works great so far. And so much easier than Myth! Thanks.
Hi - This is very unlikely to be due to GBPVR at all however just in case someone is aware of something I'm posting if that's ok. Re GBPVR see my signature too below.
I've just bought a new HDD and rebuild Windows XP as for a week or so before I was having my PC restart intermittently and I would hear a bit of a clunking sound (I assumed this was the primary HDD) around the same time.
I've now rebuilt windows and installed everything back on (PVR software like GBPVR, iTunes etc, done all the windows updates). I thought all was good but I am now getting the PC intermittantly rebooting by itself. Last time I had the PC on for say 15 minutes and then whilst using firefox it just rebooted, and after this it got into a loop where towards the end of the reboot it would reboot itself again.
Given I've just got a new HDD and XP rebuild (with latest patches) and I'm behind my NAT router, I'm assuming its a fairly sizeable hardware problem? (motherboard). The PC is a few years old and is a:
P4 1.6GHz, 1.2GB RAM, 2 x 300GB HDD, new video card too
[Q1] Does this sound familar to anyone? What would good guesses re whats going on.
[Q2] What's a good way to try to fault find here?
[Q3] Is there any software I could run to help track down the problem?
Hello,
I've installed the PVR-150 card and have everything setup. Only thing is that my IR blaster won't work with GBPVR. I've tried it with the bundled software and BTV and it works, I just can't get it to work on GBPVR. What setting do I set in "Channel Changer" and what other settings do I need to configure?
