Playback in GBPVR worse that Media Player
Posted by: kevin_c - 2006-04-01, 05:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi,

Just recently weird stuff has started to happen. When I play back divX files they play terribly. Audio plays okay, and video jumps to keep up with it. When I play them in Window Media Player they work fine. I thought GB-PVR used WMP for playback, so I'm a bit confused.

I haven't done anything I suspect would cause this so I'm at a bit of a loss.

I'd be very grateful if anyone had any pointers

Way to not record the same show?
Posted by: SnipesXxX - 2006-04-01, 05:26 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Is there a plugin or a way to set GBPVR to not record already recorded episode of the show? I hate having to try and remember by reading the info if I already got it. I've recording 2-3 of the same episode before and it's a waste of time.

Thx

  Cinergy 2400i DT and Dell
Posted by: AlanC - 2006-04-01, 05:22 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I have a conflict between my Dell Optiplex GX620 and my Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT tuner card. The card's devices occasionally disappear from Windows XP needing a reboot to bring them back and, more obviously, the Dell BIOS will not load Windows until return or escape are pressed three times. Both manufacturers are aware of the problem but there has been no progress and Terratec have offered me my money back.
Apart from that it works OK.

No video only sound from VCR source
Posted by: Richard - 2006-04-01, 05:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Today I wanted to digitize a show I had recorded on a VCR tape. I ran it though the manual record. However, it only recorded the sound. I was left with a sold black screen and sound.

This was the same effect if I watched the tape in live mode.

I disconnected the cable from my 250 and hooked it up to the TV. I had video and sound directly from the VCR.

I can watch a recorded show from the computer on the tv without any trouble.

I can record a show from the sat. without any trouble.

So, it appears all of my hardware is working.

Any suggestions? I am running version 0.96308

  Sceduling XML TV
Posted by: kevin_c - 2006-04-01, 04:35 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Hi all,

I have XML TV set to run on startup because I don't have my PVR on all the time. However it runs over GBPVR. Is there a way to get the batch file to run in the background, or to force GBPVR to grab the foreground.

Also, downloadin gthe datafile seems to take a long time. 15-20 minutes. Is that normal. I haven't got many channels.

thanks

  Radeon 9550 TV Out Problem
Posted by: thetrav - 2006-04-01, 04:01 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

Hey everyone. I am having a problem displaying GB-PVR on my CRT TV (NOT HD). I have no problem displaying it on my 17" computer LCD monitor via the VGA output, but once I set GB-PVR to display on my secondary monitor (the CRT TV), I cannot watch Live TV. The menus work fine and I can use the guide, but once I try to watch a channel the system stutters and slows down.

Here are my specs:
ASUS A7N8X
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
1GB PC3200 RAM
Radeon 9550 256MB AGP Video Card
Hauppauge WINTV PVR-150 Tuner Card (The TV signal is coming from my STB into the composite input of this card, if that matters.)

I am using the s-video to composite adapter to connect to my TV.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

  Config-Channel Mappings
Posted by: zehd - 2006-04-01, 01:43 PM - Forum: Forum Issues & Documentation - Replies (6)

Hi All, As I said earlier, there's nothing worse than a Documenter that doesn't know what he's talking about! So I need your help regarding Source Channel Mapping in the Capture Sources...

Basically I'm looking for proof-reading and clarity-checking for the first section at least (until the first Line)

I may have missed the entire point altogether...

But if I'm on the right track, I'll continue...

Comments?

Kann mir mal bitte jemand etwas auf Deutsch erklären.
Posted by: ercuem - 2006-04-01, 10:57 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hallo
bedeutet.
