  Schedule programs for live TV
Posted by: pieter - 2006-03-26, 11:50 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (12)

From the TV guide you can schedule programs for recording. Another nice feature would be to schedule programs for live TV.
Then live TV shows just the programs I have selected.

  BlueMCE2 - text messed up
Posted by: raven - 2006-03-26, 11:40 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi,
just updated to the latest version of GBPVR0.96.12 and found that there must be something wrong with the BlueMCE2 skin. I have two screen shots here, one with the plain Blue skin and one with the BlueMCE2

I think the images speaks for themselves. Can this be fixed?

OK its probably me, but I get no OSD on playback of recorded shows or live tv, in fact anything.........

Have I hit a key /key combination etc or have I messed something up testing all these different card combinations?

I have searched through the forum and no one else seems to have this as a problem so is it a feature?

What button on the hauppauge remote deletes a file in Myvideos?

What happened to "Recording soon" in "New Icon Flat Blue"
Posted by: TuckerTFT - 2006-03-26, 06:13 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (6)

I have just recently upgraded to GB-PVR 96.12, and with that also upgraded the "New Icon Flat Blue - High Vis" skin to that version (using 96GreenOrb.zip from the wiki).

All seems fine except for the fact that the square panel in the upper right displays absolutely nothing and I no longer have the info messages on the main screen telling me what is recording now and soon.

I miss those messages. How do I get them back? And, how is teh top right panel configured?

Thanks.

Update EPG failure in RecordingService only
Posted by: fla - 2006-03-26, 02:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I'm getting update EPG failures (logs below). Anyone know what the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." can be caused by? I upgraded from 9.6.8 to 9.6.12 in hope of fixing this to no avail. Even removed all my capture sources and recreated new ones.

Since the config.exe EPG update works fine, as a workaround I created a Windows scheduled task that runs "gbpvr.exe -OnlyUpdateEPG" and that seems to work. Is this safe since gbpvr is already running?

Does anybody else feel that when setting the EPG update time in config.exe, the time changes are reversed? Up makes the number smaller and down makes the number bigger! Try scheduling a task in windows, the time setting direction is opposite to config.exe.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Problems after Power Off MVP when Using Net Radio w/o Pressing Stop First (96.12)
Posted by: TuckerTFT - 2006-03-26, 01:10 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

OBSERVATION (v96.12): If you are listening to Net Radio via the MVP and then power it off without first pressing the STOP key on the remote (to stop the playing of the Net Radio stream), the next time you power on the MVP and try to play a Net Radio station or a Video, no playback will occur and you need to restart the Media MVP Server

MVP Service Reboots Using Net Radio (96.12)
Posted by: TuckerTFT - 2006-03-25, 11:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have noticed that, since upgrading to 96.12, when I am listening to Net Radio through the MVP I will intermittently get a spontaneous reboot.

The latest occurrence of this was just a few minutes ago. I was listening to a Net Radio shoutcast station and also watching a picture slide show using "Picture Library".

I have captured an pasted a log segment below, but before we go there I also wanted to state that there have been many times since updating to 96.12 where I would turn on my MVP and it would stay at the initial screen "Contact Servers ... " for a couple minutes until I just got tired of waiting and would go down to my computer and shut down the Media MVP Server and then restart it to get the MVP to respond.

While this sometimes happened with the MVP in the previous version (95.14), it was only very occasionally, whereas with 96.12 it seems to happen at least once per day.

In any event, here is the log snippet for what I described in the first paragraph above. Another thing I will point out about this event is that when the MVP did come back on line, nothing except the menu functions worked. If I tried to play Net Radio or a Video it would not play anything. I ultimately had to manually restart the MVP Server on the PC.

Error: The Micorsoft Jet database engine has stopped the prcess because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time

Any ideas???
