When I plug my MediaMVP into a outlet connected directly to the Vonage router (well kinda, it's through a smart home switch) it can't seem to get past the connect to DHCP server part on the mediamvp screen.
I've just recently started playing around with GBPVR and I am quite satisfied with what it can do although I have a few questions / observations that may help others as well.
First, I have a dual display. I have the TV on S-Video out, and my monitor on the VGA. My graphics card is a Nvidia FX 5700. To open GBPVR I have it set in the config program to send it to the second monitor, this works fine however it displays a border. This is not remedied using the -noframe method.
I have figured out that if you minimize it in this state and then run gbpvr.exe again it opens and displays it perfectly in fullscreen with no borders on the TV. In order to accomplish this with 1 push of a button I have used the following line in my irremote.ini file (the [Default] section):
Where gbpvr.bat is a file to open with higher priority, the sleep(2000) makes a pause before the next command. findwnd simply finds the window, sys(0xF020) minimizes the program, and the last command runs it again.
Since I dont know all the SendMsg() commands, sometimes I need to restore focus, I do this by setting the RED button (also in Default) to:
Great so this has been working just fine for me but I would like to know what is happening differently to open the window from a minimized state as opposed to starting the program for the first time.
Also is there a list somewhere of all the SendMsg() commands that GBPVR accepts, and what they do?
Having a problem with running Live TV mode. Did fresh install on a reasonable fast PC with a Hauppauge PVR150. Started GBPVR and went to LiveTV - picture is in black in white and lots of interference. Started switching channels and it will eventually clear up then go back after keep switching. No problems with WinTV2000.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding how this stuff works, but in the config settings of GBPVR, under the playback tab, my options for hardware decoding are as follows:
None Use Software decoding
Hauppauge PVR 350
Sigma Designs Xcard
I figured since I am using WinTV USB 2, the correct one to select would be Hauppauge PVR 350, yet GBPVR won't start when I try to use it. The only one that works is the software decoding option. It may be my imagination, but it seems like the image is not all it is cracked up to be with this option selected. Is there something I do not have set up right?
I just upgraded from v9516 to the latest version. Now when GBPVR goes to run I get this Microsoft .NET Framework error - I've had a browse through the WIKI but can't seem to find anything to help. Here are my logs...
Thanks in advance.

I have been running retime, comskip, and comclean in postprocessing.bat. Commercials were removed okay when viewed on the pc, but when I burned the programs to dvd with ulead DVD Movie Factory 3se, I get broken and choppy video after the first cut commercial. I found a previous post saying to set output_mpgtx=1 in the comskip.ini to get a *.bat to eliminate problems with comclean, but how do you get comclean to recognize the *.bat? And is that what would cause problems with the burned dvd?
I am missing some channels from the TV Guide Ch 42, 43 & 50 to name a few.
I have dumped the EPG and then refreshed it.
If I use the GB-PVR Coniguration channel 42 shows up there but as Home & Garden TV - thats what it was before SHAW changed the line-up. Now its the Turner Classic Movie Channel.
It appears as if somethoing is stuck in the past and not getting updated when I refresh the EPG.
If I know a certain program is on channel 42 I can search for it and it will show me it's on Ch 42 at a certain time. It also shows the correct channel name: Turner Classic Movies
If I then ask it to record it..it will instead record whatever is on channel 4 at that time.
Sorry if this has already been dealt with - I did a search but couldn't see the same problem.
After transcoding a DVD using xDVD, if I attempt to play it using Video Library or My Videos via the MediaMVP I get a very strange timeline display when I press "pause". I will usually show the total time as being 5, 6 or 7+ hours and the starting position as being the high number of the time line minus the running time of the movie (ex: If the movie is 1 hr and 35 minutes and the high number, displayed on the right side of the time line, is 07:15:25 (7 hrs 15 min 25 sec), the starting position position of the movie will show as 05:40:25.
Also, while the FF and REW functionality work fine (only after transcoding has been fully completed) the SKIP FORWARD and SKIP BACK buttons BOTH move the video position forward, and by HUGE jumps (again, I am not talking about playback of a transcoded DVD in xDVD, but rather via Video Library or My Videos).
NOTE: This weird behavior only occurs when playing back dvd.mpg using the MVP. When I playback on my PC, the timeline displays normally (i.e., in the example above, the low number on the time line would be 00:00:00 and the high number 01:35:00) and the SKIP FORWARD and SKIP BACK functions work just fine.
Hi, just wondered what people here consider to be the best fanless video card available? Money not really an issue but obviously not silly money! Oh by the way i need pci express not agp.
After upgrading to version 96.12 (I have used 96.08 but maybe too short) I hve regularly that recordings do not stop at the scheduled time. The recordings will just continue untille the disk is full.
Remarkably is that also the trayutility does not display the recordings correctly and as fas as I can see the recordingservice.exe.log file is not being updated any longer (oldest entry is about an hour earlier than the point where I took all the files together in the zip).
