I am having some problems with the video while watching both recorded and live TV. It also seems to hiccup every once in the while where it will repeat audio and video. Then shorly afterwards, the video freezes while the audio keeps playing.
I am running the Intervideo Decoder for audio and video and have tried the Nero and Cyberlink Decoder and neither of them eliminated the problem.
I am running a pent 4 machine, windows XP pro with 2 pvr250's and an ATI card with the Invidia Chipset.
I just started using XSearch and I'm having problems when I try to schedule programs to record. If there is a conflict it takes me back to the main menu with an error message. The error message says "Error:Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
Anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? Sub mentioned earlier that the Myxxx plugins sometimes cause errors, so I deleted the files associated with the plugins, or so I think.
I noticed from the posts with my searches here for anything related to the PVR-150MCE remote, a lot of users didn't have full functionality of there included MCE remotes when using GBPVR. Some buttons don't work.(Power,Green,Back,Recorded TV,Guide,LiveTV,My TV,My Music,My Pictures,My Videos,Info/More) I'm also noticing this. I DID notice some posts about using some additional software to make this work. I forgot the name, HP??, ANYWAY, i can use Girder (Very experienced with this software since it's beginning.) and have the MCE plugin, works fine BTW. BUT, i would rather like a complete working route directly with GBPVR, and would like to offer my help to Sub to maybe get all the buttons working with testing involved, if it's possible. Even if it means properly mapping the buttons and getting them all correct in IRremote.ini, which i'm sure is possible, but also would be nice to add directly within GBPVR, so users can also use the 'Control Remote Directly' function. I'm needing some input from the dev'p crew here, what do you think about this? Any interests with my help and testing?
I hope i didn't make a mistake with getting the MCE version instead of the normal pvr-150. If anyone has enough insite to return the pvr-150MCE and get the pvr-150 instead for the sake of being easier to have compatibility with the remote that comes with that one (43 button and IR plug), PLEEEEEEEEASE lemme know. I would rather just do that and have out of the box remote compatibility then go through a lot of work to get the MCE remote working, all buttons. I don't have any attachments to keep the MCE remote so you know. And i have 15 days to decide so i can pull the card out, and exchange it.

Here's something VERY interesting for all my friends to share with. I just traded an Xbox (this ones for my car specifically so i can stop swapping my current one back and forth) from my friend for my pvr-250 card today due to me buying a new WinTV PVR-150 MCE (Model: 1062). Funny thing i noticed after messing around with it.
I've read a lot of posts today since i bought one, and noticed a lot of people saying the OEM had no remote, but does have FM Radio. And the RETAIL had a remote, but no fm radio. The one i bought definitely has the MCE remote and USB IR Box BUT i noticed it ALSO DOES have the FM Tuner as well. Why do i say this? Because after comparing 2 different models i've seen on the internet, mine only has the cable input and not both cable and radio, HOWEVER i am now using the Radio application on the CD, and i am currently listening to a radio station just fine with it. It's a little static on it, but definitely there and sounding good. But i wondered if the reason why it's static is because it needs an antenna hooked up to it.
When i disconnect the cable from TV Input, it goes out completely, and since then i thought of this. I am VERY willing to pull the card out, and pull up the top of the TV TUner module, and look at the electronics, and see if it's not so simple to add an antenna jack hooked up to the proper pins on the PC board. The electronics are definitely there, or i wouldn't be able to use the radio application, as well as actually getting radio stations ok.
I will be posting my findings here as well, so others with this card will know they can do that too, if there at all somewhat experienced to mod something. Radio is important to me, as i wasn't expecting it when i bought the card, but REALLY would use it now that i'm noticing this, as i no longer would need my receiver in my room and can take it downstairs to my living room to hook back up to my theater equipment. Since i have plenty of wattage and speakers in my room now, the tuner was the last thing i was using it for anyway.
I am new to GB-PVR and tried installing it today on a fresh XP SP2 box. I get errors, and Im sure there are things required that I am missing.
I have a BT878 capture card, that is generic, but I believe it is the same card as the WinTV card from Hauppauge. Looks idential and the chip is the exact same.
My question is, since I cannot get GB-PVR installed, is there a document I can look at that tells me all the requirements?
I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I have been looking at this forum almost all day and my eyes are getting tired.. I figured it was best to ask then to give up.
I am downloading WMP 10 and making sure I have the .net 1.1 on the machine. Anyone care to steer me in the right direction?
Is it possibe to cut back the time span that X Guide displays say from 3 hours to 2 hours, Also I was hoping there is a was to also cut back the number of channels it displays at one time.
I did a complete CLEAN re-install of Windows and the new version of GBPVR. When I am watching Live TV the video will stop while the audio is still playing. I am using the Intervideo decoder for playback and have the buffer directory set on a Serial ATA drive.

just bought this msi 550pro and should be here in a few days. Do all I need to do is download this software afterinstalling the drivers from the card and thats it all will work or will I need to install other programs or plugins to get the software and tv card to work. does this software also support the remote functions using winxp pro service pack 2
