i just bought this msi 550pro and should be here in a few days. Do all I need to do is download this software afterinstalling the drivers from the card and thats it all will work or will I need to install other programs or plugins to get the software and tv card to work. does this software also support the remote functions using winxp pro service pack 2
Has anyone tried downloading movies from movielink.com and playing them through gbpvr(This is a site to rent/download movies). They play fine in windows media player, but I cannot get them to play through gbpvr.
All other wmv videos that I have play fine through gbpvr, except for the downloaded movielink ones. I have tried both the included video library and the my videos plugin.
I'm looking for someone to give me feedback on the number of codecs I have installed on my PC. I want to clean out those I don't need anymore. I just don't know which ones those are. I'm looking for someone to go through and tell me which ones are probably not being used and which ones seem repetitive.
I have 2 tunercards (pvr 350/pvr150) Sometimes,when i schedule a recording,everyting is starting wel, but when i look to the recorded file ,there is nothing but snow.I look on live tv (same channel ) and the tv channel is gone(also snow on the screen).After try restart gbpvr ,tv channel is back.(recording is possibel ok now)
But after a while ,the problem comes back.
Can somewone help me?
Hi - I have a problem with corrupted dvr-ms files which I am sure can be resolved somehow, but I can't seem to figure it out. Please help if you can!
Occasinally, my computer crashes whilst recording TV to a dvr-ms file. When the computer re-starts it continues recording the show to another file - however I can't read the original file that was being written when the computer crashed - Windows Media Player just states that it can't read the file.
Is there any way to recover these corrupt files, as I really want to rescue some of my recordings!

I wanted to move my xmltv grabber to another PC, but knew that access to network drives and UNC paths would be a problem for the GB-PVR service.
I didn't want to change the logon of the service, so i tried setting the path to the xmltv file as a HTTP URL instead, as I already have a webserver running on the grabber machine.
It worked very well, so I thought I'd post it in case it could be of help to someone.
I am using the Zap2it to retrieve my EPG's. I put in my zip code and other informationa and it downloaded the epg. the only problem is that the shows that are in the guide arn't the one's that are actually playing. I have Direct Tv and i am on the east coast. i was wondering if there is any other way of getting the guide information? thank you
I am using v0.95.16 with the blue skin. While the Music Library is playing fine my mp3 songs over the MVP, the Video Library is playing my MPEG2 files without sound. On my PC the MPEG2 files work fine with sound. Any hint what might be wrong with my MPEG2 files playing over the MVP.
