After I was lucky that gbpvr made it once through EPG Channel Mapping, where it also constantly crashed (it scanned two or three channels, then windows offered me to send problem reports (one for drwatson?!) and after that I had to close Config manually), it now crashes when updating the EPG, still freezed after I was presented the send problem report window. Starting Watch LiveTV also crashes.
Hardware is KNC One TV-Station DVB-C, NForce4-board with Athlon X2 (binding config/gbpvr to one core doesn't help). Windows XP was freshly installed yesterday. MediaPortal crashes, too, but WatchTVProEx and ShowShifter work. The Original Software (GlobeDigital, a WinDVBLive OEM) works, but of course only with the WDM drivers.

Hi not sure what happen, but as of this afternoon I can update the EPG and it updates but I have no programs displaying in tv guide. I can search the info from the web admin episode search or from gbpvr, and I can watch live tv and change the channle? Any ideas on what to look for? Running 9516 with no add on stuff.
I have a slight problem with the net radio every so often when i select a station it will buffer the station and as soon as it starts playing all of the info at the bottom of the screen goes blank and after about 10 seconds it drops the stream but if i reconnect it works fine for hours. This happens everytime i pick a different station so really what i have to do everytime is select a station and wait for it to drop just so i can select it again.
I was trying to fine tune my channels as I have no sound on ch5, 14, and others. I used different methods and no luck. finally i wanted to just leave it alone for now, but there is a new problem. When I go to watch liveTV in gbpvr, it is stuck on one channel. I soon realized that this is the last channel that was tuned in wintv2000. If i change channel in wintv, exit, and then open gbpvr, that new channel will be displayed. I cannot figure out how to get gbpvr to tune the channels. i've tried reconfiguring a whole bunch of things with no luck.
I have a Dell optical mouse (USB) on my GBPVR system. This is not a dedicated system, so I use it for other things, including while recording.
I noticed several versions ago that when I use the wheel on the mouse, it causes stuttering video when recording. However, recently that changed -- it's now mouse movement that causes stuttering video, both when recording and during playback. Meaning, even if the recording is fine, if I move the mouse around during playback (like if I'm watching GBPVR in a window while doing other things, the playback will stutter).
Does anyone else experience this? I have Diskeeper keeping my hard drive defragged, and I know it's not a the other app that I'm running that's causing the stutter, because even if I'm only running GBPVR (and nothing else), if I move the mouse around in a circle, it causes stutter -- in playback and/or recording.
Any ideas? I've never seen mouse movement affect an application so much. When it was just the roller wheel, I figured that I could just avoid using it during recordings, but now that it's any mouse movement, that makes things a little difficult.
I want to put an auto-save option into my SuDoku plugin so it seems sensible to call a SaveGame() method from Deactivate(). Trouble is, it looks like if I have the plugin active when I turn the MVP off (using green button on remote), the Deactivate method isn't called.
Is there some way that I can make sure the current game position is automatically saved in such a situation? In other words, if I turn the MVP off, something somewhere calls SaveGame()?
I have been working with GBPVR for the last week and have learned quite a bit from this site about PVR's in general. I am running a rather slow system however I have an MSI theater 550pro tuner card and a sapphire radeon 7000 pci vid card. the computer is a PIII 533mhz.
My problem is with liveTV performance. It is Crap. everything is very pixelated despite the quality setting in GBPVR config application. I have read just about every thing that pertains to this topic on the forums and throughout wiki. I would like to pin point my problem and if anyone has any information about why I'm getting such bad performance from the MSI theater pro550 please respond here.
If you are looking for a tuner card, do not buy MSI theater pro550. no Linux support and the remote is about junk. Very limited functionality with windows as there is no configuration app.
WOndering if there's a way for MyVideos to Scan IMDB etc.. to get details and create a thumbnail for a folder, not just a file. Sometimes i'll have files in a folder that are the same content.
