is there anyway to tell if gbpvr is running on a mvp (or not) ?

i want to play alerts for "incoming message" etc in my messenger, but to do this im using windows to play the sounds (so music can continue to play), but this wont work on a mvp so i only want to do this if they're not using a mvp...

Hey all, I was wondering if there is any advice out there or experience that would help me avoid problems with installing and getting it all to work.

I will keep looking around for what I need to know. Is the installation of GBPVR pretty self explanitory? Where do I go to look up my Cables channel guide?

i am having trouble getting it to recognise my channels, and enable the epg. once i have established the channels in the configure screen. i save then exit. then i get an error saying that i have no channels assigned in the configure window. but when i go back in there all still there. so any help on how to get this up and runnign smoothly would be apreciated. and is it ok if i left click the icon in the system tray and it says my tuner is sleeping when it clearly is working on the other program. but i do not have both programs open at the same time.

My 10:00 epg update failed with a 500 error from zap2it, looks like they're down again...bummer. Sub, is the next release going to have logic to only empty the epg database after it gets the update instead of before? Short term I'll set it to not do a complete reload. Still trying to break this release without any luck

I wondered if the following would work and how well.

I have three networks at home and 3 MVP

192.168.1.0 setup as Room 1
192.168.2.0 Setup as Room 2
192.168.3.0 Setup as Room 3

Each of these networks has its own router and connects to the server network 192.168.0.0

If i run GBPVR with the MVP Server bit running on the 192.168.0.0 network will the mvp's connect to this server as they are on different networks.

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have installed the latest GBPVR and it is running, EPG successfully configured, and FM Radio working.
I have the basic GBPVR with no additional plug-ins.

Question 1, How do you do FM scheduled recording?
Question 2, How do you enable the Dongle.

I have a Sapphire Theatrix card.

For some reason comclean2 won't rename the _clean file when I use the standard comclean2.bat. I'm not sure why but I have a feeling that the way comclean calls cuttermaran makes it detach cuttermaran and then finish the comclean2.bat before cuttermaran has created the _clean file, thus not finding _clean for rename.

I'm wondering if inserting a call into comclean2.bat like below will fix this:

call "<path to>\cuttermaran.exe" "%~dpn1.cpf"

Has anyone had the same phenomena or is there a simpler solution?

I got a Win Tv PVR 350 on Wednesday.

I put GBPVR on my computer, and I'm using the TV Out option.

It hung the entire computer every few minutes. There was no keyboard or mouse response, and the only way to get control again was to do a hard reboot.

I've seen a lot of threads on this forum about this issue, and from what I see this is a common issue with that card.

I tried the latest drivers from Hauppauge's site (PVR250_22_23070.exe), but I still had the problem.

Yesterday afternoon I found some drivers on shspvr.com (ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/wintv-pvr_250-350/inf/) and choose pvr_1.18.21.23257_whql.zip The WHQL means it has been certified to run with Windows. Microsoft apply stringent tests (as well as it being a money making game) to make sure a driver won't crash windows. In this case it seems to have worked.

So I put this on yesterday afternoon and since then until this morning I've done a lot with the system, and it hasn't crashed once. I'm delighted.

I can't understand why Hauppauge don't have these drivers on their website.

Anyway, I just thought I'd post it because it might save somebody else some time / help someone else to get it working. The TV Out looks great, and it's a shame to have to not use it if you have it.

BTW, my motherboard is an Intel SE440BX2

Hey everyone. Let me start off by saying, "I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!" Now unfortunately, here's a slight problem I'm having:

I finished upgrading to version 0.95.16. (I waited til BlueMCE2 was updated.) Now, I randomly receive an error usually when scrolling through the TV Guide (Xguide/guide2j). Attached is my GBPVR.log file (zipped). The error occured at the following timestamp: 1/6/2006 2:40:58 AM. Thanks in advance for any and all help provided!!!!

I get this when I try to watch live TV.
