Unable to get two tuners recognized
Posted by: TuckerTFT - 2005-12-11, 10:59 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

I just acquired a 2nd WinTV-PVR 150 tuner (actually the second one is the MCE venison, but by all accounts it is driven the same on Windows XP as the non-MCE version).

I ran the CONFIG application and added it as a second capture source, adding it as Capture Card Type of Hauppauge PVR150 and a Board Number of Capture Device #2.

After saving the config (which automatically restarts the recording service) I launched GB-PVR to test the config. I went to the TV Guide and select one channel to Quick Rec. Once that was started I tried to do the same for a second channel, but I got a "Conflict" message indicating that I would either have to stop my current recording or cancel the new recording.

Similarly, when I tried to use Live TV while the recording was going, I got the same conflict message.

I also tried changing the Capture Card Type to Hauppauge PVR150MCE since this second card is actually the MCE version. No luck here either.

I know that both cards work because I can go into Device manager and disable each of them alternately and still watch TV (either via GB-PVR or the WinTV application), and I am certain of which card is in use by simply unplugging the coax cable and seeing the snowy screen .. so, this is proof positive that each of the cards work.

NOTE: I am not using the MCE drivers since I have standard WindowsXP Pro as my OS, not WindowsXP MCE.

Also, the second card (the MCE edition) has an FM tuner. I haven't installed any drivers for it as I don't want to use the MCE drivers. Any idea how to get a driver for the WinTV 150MCE's FM tuner on a standard WindowsXP OS?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

  Recording time longer then actual
Posted by: ViperDragon - 2005-12-11, 10:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I installed 95.16 and have noticed that the shows I recorded last night were 6-12 min longer in the time stamp. If I watch them thru external players they show the correct times. I have my pre and post padding set at 2 min each. For example, I recorded a hour show last night and when I play it thru GBPVR it shows 1 hour 15 min. But if I watch it thru ext player it shows 1 hour 4 min like it's suppose to. Anyone else experienced this?

  Unable to log into webadmin
Posted by: 86atc250r - 2005-12-11, 10:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

My username and/or password isn't working in webadmin.

I set, reset, and reset my userid and password in the config app -- but when I try to log into the web admin, it keeps telling me that I'm using an invalid user or password. It has worked in the past, unsure if this is a problem since I've upgraded to .16 or if it broke while I was down with a little HDD trouble (only my media storage hdd, not my OS or installation hdd --- interesting problem, by the way...)

Anyone have any quick things to check or the location of these items so I can manually check and/or reset them?

Thanks in advance

  Skin units ?
Posted by: devilman1974 - 2005-12-11, 09:27 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (4)

I apologize if this is a silly question, but what type of units are used in the skins?

For example
<DrawRoundedRect loc="12,5" size="250,30" radius="10" borderWidth="3" borderColor="#2c363d" fillColor="#5d94c5"/>

Size="250,30" , would that be pixels relative on sizing based on the 720 x 480 background?

I designed a skin and having problems with positioning and sizing.

Thanks in advance!

  12 minutes on 0.95.16
Posted by: sivilya - 2005-12-11, 08:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

Not sure if this was referred to by anyone in the past (although I think I saw something somewhere...).

I have a wierd problem (I'm currently, as says in the title, using 0.95.16) and for some reason some shows are being recorded only for about 12 minutes. Not sure if there's a pattern or not (maybe the first show of every new day)...

According to the logs it looks like the show is being recorded fully (45 mins) but it is actually only about 12 minutes! (the file it self is as well about 1/4 of the supposed size).

Here's the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log part referring to this problematic recording:

Posted by: albinolove - 2005-12-11, 08:06 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

Hi, I am another noob that is having trouble figuring this whole thing out. I live in the U.S and have direct t.v. service. So is it possible for me, with a t.v. tuner card (or two) and this software to record and timeshift all programs on my direct t.v. service, or can I only do that stuff to the t.v. that my tuner recieves? Thanks in advance!

WebAdmin streamed videos stops after 1 second
Posted by: libop - 2005-12-11, 07:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi everyone,

First of all, sorry if the problem has already been discussed here but after having searched the forum, I didn't see someone having the issue I have.

I try to remotely watch recorded tv shows or divx videos thanks to the enhanced webadmin. I use VLC to watch the videos and it works for only 1 second, I mean I see only the first second of the video. The problem occurs on LAN and Internet tries and Avi or mpg, same issue. even if i let the video being dowload longer, the video don't go further.

Does anyone knows what could i do to make it works great ?

Thanks.

  XRecord requests
Posted by: capone - 2005-12-11, 07:22 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

Maybe things for next update:

1) Ability to use XGuide in previous look (2hr layout, for those w/ smaller screens and older eyes Wink )
2) Ability to turn off delete, or make it harder. My 3yr old has learned how to skip and comskip, but I would feel better leaving him unattended in XRecord if I knew I could lock the delete button (or prevent his uncanny luck button-mashing).
