So ive reinstalled gbpvr 3 times and registered zap2it 3 times and it keeps on showing my tvguide to be off by three hours. I go to watch vh1 the fablouls like and its bing in 05...wtf can someone help if not how to i set up XMLTV for the us? thanks

I started a thread that didn’t make a lot of sense because I didn’t understand what GBPVR was. I am a new at this and I am trying to put together my own HTPVR I was looking at a different web site and they discussed using beyond TV but now that I have been looking at your site this software you have seems incredible, not to mention the support. I have a few unanswered questions on setting this up.
I am going to circuit city today and would love answers to the first few questions ASAP please, the others can wait.

I am totally confused with the m-peg decoder devices, originally I read in a different forum to use the Hauppauge 150 but in your forum you discuss the PVR 250 and the PVR 350 I don’t understand the differences and it sounds like I need two of them or the PVR 500 if I want to be able to watch one program wile recording another?
Are there any drawbacks from one to the other?
If I get two should I get one MCE and one not?
The big question that nobody seems to know is the compatibility issue with there remote with dish network receivers 501 - 508 - and the 811. Will the IR-Blaster work with these I believe the 501 might not sure on the others???
If they don’t what other options do I have?
I am planning on buying the G-Force 6600GT but they have so many different brands and specs I am totally confused I do not have a APG slot so I have to use PCI and what is a PCIe ? I want to make sure I buy the right one.

Is there some advantage using there radio over the net radio?
This net radio seems pretty cool can I select songs I wish to record to automatically record?
I would like to use the net radio feature and if I do can I record songs like my PVR does selecting songs in advance?
In preview mode live TV ver 9.0 can I still watch the program I was wile surfing
When hitting buttons on the keyboard or remote wile recording “accidentally”, am I prompted before recording stops?
Do I need a designated phone line to use GBPVR? Or how often do I need to dial up to get listings?
If I started watching a program from the start and in the middle of the program wanted to record it would the recording start at the beginning or where I hit record?
How far in advance are the listings?

i have no idea how to go about writing plugins, or i'd start working on this now.

the idea stems from the actual set-top cable box my girlfriend has at her apartment. it has a 'favorites' button, that just cycles through user-defined favorite channels. on the same note, it would be cool to be able to tell gbpvr what my favorite shows are, and have a menu option to see upcoming favorite shows. (i think tivo has this, but i've never actually used a tivo brand box)

it would also be neat to be able to filter the guide to only show favorite channels.

I have recently been putting together a media PC and this program was recommended by a few people. So far it has proved to be the easiest and most comprehensive free package out there so thank you.

And now my problem.

I have been running GBPVR fine for a few days but wanted to set up my remote on my Compro DVB T200 to work with it. I had a look around and got a program called HIP which seemed to be working really well at regonising my remote and passing through the commands to GBPVR. However after a few start ups I noticed I couldnt control the screen anymore and found that a new window was opening up. This window is called GDI+ Window but doesnt seem to open up into anything. Due to this window loading up and being at the front it takes all presidance and i cant control GBPVR again till i click on the main GBPVR window. This is an issue for me as i was hoping to run the box with out a mouse or keyboard and just boot stright in to GBPVR. The HIP program looks to be causing this as when it is closed i never seem to get the GDI window loading. The window is in the image below.



Any ideas on how to correct this?

Since I upgraded to this version I notice the following bugs:
- I often see a green display when pausing, resuming or skipping a movie
- The screensaver doesn't release when pressing any button. Only pressing "guide" could make the screensaver go away.

I've just tried the new Horizontal MainMenu (v95.16) and have to say a real nice to have. But i ran into a problem placing the TaskDescription. For setting up the buttons i switched off TaskDescription but now when i want to reactivate it, it will not show up. It seems it is not possible to have TaskDescription and a horizontal menu. By the way taskdescription works fine with the same skinfile and vertical menus.

Please let me know if someone else had the same Problem or if i'm doning something wrong.

Quote:the "The object is currently in use elsewhere." probably isnt from my pictures, ive locked most things when using threads, and all drawing is actually done in the main thread (this use to be a common problem in mypics 2), so theres no reason (that i know of) for my pics 3 to generate this error. however i have seen this error but it was caused by gbpvr and not my pics.
