hi there, sorry posted on wrong area earlier today.
I was using the latest pre-release at the time (1 twinhan and 1 compro t300 working pretty well).
running with two twinhan cards is buggy still. card one (Device 1) picks up no channels. card two (device 2) picks up channels and picture. It seems to pick up channels twice (e.g. BBC One, BBC One (2) etc) for quite a few channels. There are errors in the log about being unable to build the graph.
The tv icons in gbpvr won't display in the tv guide. Could this be happening because i am using zap2it instead of the other tv guide importing plugins?
This is a good program that kicks set-top dvd recorders and DVRs (tivo replay) in the glutes. My younger brothers state that my computer is the equivalent to a theater all thanks to this exceedingly splendid program. They now that a "piece of junk" Video Cassette Recorder or pretty much anything else will never be a match for this program .
I'm using o2grabber for getting xml program data and it has been working fine so far. I tried to use the channel names for "channel id" in the actual file and GBPVR won't import and gives the error:
Failure in channelfactory::Storechannels(): field is too small to accept the amount of data you were trying to add.
Longest ID is 15 characters. Is there a quick fix for this?
If I try and watch a divx etc in gb, the remote stops working. (ff,rew, back/exit,pause etc) However the volume control works. If I trigger the osd with the mouse and do an action, ff, paause etc, the remote will work from then on!
CC
Done all the restart ir, set higher pri in task manager, Fix 45 b remote etc.
Currently the >>| button jumps one minute forward when playing movies, but I'd like for it to jump to the next file. Is this possible?
It would be fine if it only happened when using the remote, but then what command do I have to put in the irremote.ini file?
Anyone else experiencing this - wheneven I FFWD when watching a recording (or timeslip) I lose the Read Audio and only get audio from the front speakers. Its never been a huge drama as I only tend to FFWD by accident - I Always use Skip. FFWD can be handy occaissionally tho so its a little annoying.
Sub - You snuck in apparent (test?) support for the MAUI-III PAL card in the new release without any (that I've seen) announcement. Would setting up a section in direct.ini for the NTSC version be a big deal? I know you got a PAL one from the folks at Lumanate and probably not the NTSC version. Any tips before I do my bull in a china shop attempt at a NTSC section.
What version of the MAUI-III drivers are you working with?
I just purchased a generic PCI TV Tuner from CompUSA (SKU: 333088).
It claims to be a Conexant 23880 chipset which I have read is the same chip that is used in the Hauppauge line of cards. I noticed that a lot of the Hauppauge cards (WinTV line) are in the default compatibility list.
Does GB-PVR support this card? Can I choose one of the Hauppauge cards to get it to work? I have VirtualDUB working just fine with it, and it comes with a piece of software called WinTV3 (which I'm already not impressed with).
If anyone who knows the chips and what GB-PVR means when a card is in the list of compatible cards, would you please give me a hand.
I just rebuilt my Win2000 box because my old drive crashed. I set it up clean with all SPs and installed 94.13. My recordings are on my other drive on a separate partition, and GB-PVR is the only thing that uses that partition/drive letter. I had some old recordings from the previous install, which were fine. After getting GB-PVR set up and playing with it, those recordings were hosed. The sizes looked right, but some wouldn't play, and some would contain video from old recordings. I deleted everything, defragged, and started over. Also, I turned off live preview. Then I recorded a few shows and everything was good. Normally I use my MVP for everything; however, yesterday I was using the GUI on the PC and playing with live TV again, and now my recordings are hosed again. Live TV worked on the PC at first, but when I tried it yesterday it never would display, just a black screen with a message about preparing to go.
I have a PVR-150. Does live tv use the card and filesystem in a different way than recording? I can't imagine what about live tv would cause filesystem corruption, but I thought I saw a post sort of like this problem before on the forums, though I couldn't find anything searching. I'm using the 150 drivers from the Hauppauge site as of last week. Does the driver interact with the filesystem, or does it just make data available via the bus? I want to rule out things besides GB-PVR, but I had looked at the files before and after playing with the GUI on the PC, so the time window in which the problem happened is pretty small. Does GB-PVR open or otherwise access recordings while running, even if not being watched? I think I may have viewed the now-hosed recordings via the GUI and then played with live tv, but then safely ESC'ed out to the menu. I didn't see anything useful in my logs, which I was looking at to see why live tv wasn't working. It did seem to work on the MVP.
Collection users wishing a smooth transition to GBPVR v95.11 are advised to defer upgrading the GBPVR core software until the Collection skins have been tested with the new release.
Inorder to make the required changes to the skins, I must upgrade my system. Therefore, I will be seeking volunteers willing to test the changes under GBPVR v94.13.
Please let me know if you are will to be a volunteer.
