I have recently installed a satellite card into my set up. If I view live TV from it through my MVP all is fine, if watch a recording then the playback is jerky. If I watch a recording made from my PVR150 card then all is fine. Can anyone suggest which settings might have an influence on this. Also plays OK on the PC.

Here's a wish if possible--sometimes SA or comskip might mess up and I have to re run it, but i have to exit GBPVR and run it and come back in. I'm wondering if it's possible to include a function where you can rerun it on recordings that you choose. Like maybe press the GO button (like you do in My Videos) and one of the options can be "Re-Process Recording" and when you click it, it will pull up comskip or SA and reprocess the recording.
Hello, new to the forums. I recently had a hauppage pvr-160 with windows-mce. Worked o.k. Recently reformated with just plain old windows xp pro, of course the pvr-160 only works with windows mce, so i returned it and picked up an ATI HDTV Wonder. Searched the web and GB-PVR seems to be the best tv tuner software out there. The software that came with my card is really horrible. Problem is i couldn't get it working with gb-pvr. I searched these forums and many other forums, and couldn't find out a way to get it working. Any ideas? thanks in advanced.
OK I'm used to building computers but this will be my first HTPC and I need some technical advice.
I will split my time between the US and Moscow Russia. So I want my HTPC to work with Pal, NTSC, Secam, and I'm not sure about sound formats but I think they differ too. I think Russia is Nicam.
How does gbpvr import TV schedule data? I'm going to be using Stream TV in Russia and I have no idea how to bring in the TV schedule from that system.
I get the idea behind the different signals fps, frequency, resolution: But what I don't know is which TV cards and which Sound Cards can handle these formats?
Also can anyone recommend a dual layer DVD burner which can easily and reliably be hacked/modded or whatever to be region free?
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to remotely request GBPVR to update the EPG?
I have a headless server in a cupboard running GBPVR, an MVP in the lounge and another PC. The GBPVR server is not connected to the internet but the other PC is. I want to be able to run a script on the PC that will download a XMLTV file send it to the GBPVR server and force GBPVR to update the guide.
Is there a function on the web interface to tell GBPVR to update the guide? Alternatively is there a feature on the MVP interface that can do it?

I have been using this setup with GBPVR for about 3 months now - works great. Only reason I am selling is because the xbox 360 is calling my name and I need some money to help pick up that cost haha. i will end up setting up another gbpvr box later but I want the 360 now! haha
Hi, If you haven't already done so, please put a pin on the guestmap. I would like to see how many people I can get on it and also where all GB-PVR is used.
When I go to Music Library and select Play All, it plays just the first mp3 in the list and stops. I tried other plugins including Jukebox and MyMusic and they all exhibited the same behaviour. I am running v0.95.11 on a W2k m/c. In the GB-PVR.exe.log file I see lines where it adds the mp3's to a queue. Its just that after playing the first mp3 in the list, it stops - doesnt freeze or crash. I will appreciate any help in sorting this out.
I'm having problems transcoding using the new FFMpeg feature. The transcoding seems to work, but the quality when played back on my MVP is poor. The output is very blocky, like the bitrate is very low.
I can play the transcoded file on my PC and the quality/bitrate is ok. Playing back the transcoded file manually in the MVP produces poor quality as well.
My own recorded mpg files work fine on the mvp, it's just the FFMpeg files that the MVP has trouble with. Any ideas?
