  Change channels by the number
Posted by: livesNbox - 2004-04-20, 01:00 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (8)

it would be nice to press 1 0 7 enter and have it change to channel 107.

This has probably already been suggested... but I didn't see it anywhere.

  Picture viewer plugin
Posted by: ecruos - 2004-04-19, 11:12 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (22)

http://www.tidegreen.com/downloads/GBPVR...Plugin.zip

To install the plugin, you need to copy the Pictures directories into the appropriate skins subdirectories (and the dll into the plugins directory).  Remember to configure the plugin to specify your images directory.

Any comments or suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks sub for enabling the remaining remote control buttons!

  some helpful things
Posted by: metaner - 2004-04-19, 08:27 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

hi @all,

first, i will say "thanks for this great tool". installation and configuration are very simple and works perfect. i'm looking forward to integrate "GBPVR" in my myHTPC installation and writing a german manual for this. but ... while i configure "GBPVR" i miss the following things:

- control all parts with keyboard (for example: show/activate menue-control in video-libary, change channels by num-keys ...) ... because i would like to control "GBPVR" by Girder
- translate all parts of "GBPVR" (for example: menue descriptions, menu headlines ...). maybe it is possible to extract all parts into a language-file?

Question: i would like to use my PVR-350 without the PVR-350 TV-Out. Is it possible? I like to use the tv-out of my graphiccard (Matrox G400). But it's doesn't work.

Greetz,
Jan

  Media MVP
Posted by: paulrking - 2004-04-19, 08:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

subs and anyone with a Media MVP....

OK managed to "borrow" a Media MVP for a few days. Installed the Media MVP software on the gbpvr box. Cabled the media MVP up and powered the baby on. Got the Videos/Pictures etc menu on the TV. So connectivity wise everything seems ok.

So what next then? How do I get gbpvr on my TV via MediaMVP. I've been through the docs and the config.xml and I guess I'm being a bit dumb if it's as easy as subs suggested.

Any help (instructions) would be appreciated.

  DirectX 9.0b
Posted by: jui - 2004-04-19, 01:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi,

after installing the upgrade to DirectX 9.0b on Win XP the IR remote control does not work correctly anymore. The up/down arrow keys of the standard Hauppauge ir rc do not do their job anymore.

Has anyone seen similar? I fortunately could go back a step and deinstall the new Direct X version.

Greetings
Jui

  Diskspace plugin
Posted by: Dai - 2004-04-19, 12:31 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (28)

I've pretty much finished my diskspace plugin, I went on holiday which rather stoped development for a while but got back to it at the weekend. I'm using it OK but I'm sure others will be able to break it for me [Image: smile.gif]

Sub, you talked about supporting a method NeedsRegularRendering(), did you add suport for this and if so, is diskspace the kind of thing it ought to be used for and how often does it get called. I think it would be good to see your diskspace going down if a recording is taking place, an update once per minute would probably be enough.

I've been reading the posts about other plugins and I'm gonna do a bit more work on making it cope if skin files dont exist but then it will be ready for others to use. Some time later this week hopefully.

Shall I email to you sub so that it can go onto your site?

Cannot check Weather Plugin in Config app
Posted by: HoxPVR - 2004-04-19, 04:04 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I cannot get the Weather Plugin in config app to "check". Did not work for me in .15e or .16.

Weather plugin zip was unzipped to "\program files\devnz\GBPVR\" and the weatherplugin.dll ended up in the "\program files\devnz\GBPVR\plugins" directory.

BTW - .16 works great, fixed my issues with MediaMVP!

  Skins to support weather plugin
Posted by: CodeMonkey - 2004-04-19, 01:20 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (23)

For a skin to support weather, you need to create a 'weather' subdir and make sure the following buttons are there:

Current
Map
Forecast
Main Menu

Weather button for the main menu.

Get the file names from the blue skin.

You don't need to worry about weather icons, they are skin-neutral.

  .16 problems
Posted by: TypQxQ - 2004-04-18, 09:33 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Great work on .16, but I'm still having problems when playing on xcard [Image: sad.gif]

* Wrong aspect ratio on 16:9 screen
*DivX plays for abbout 5 -9 seconds (varies from file to file) and then stops, the counter keeps counting, the esc button works but no image, no network activity...

* OSD and MPG plays fine [Image: smile.gif] THANX

And about the new PlayAudioFile and PlayVideoFile, it doesn't really help me doing neither a DVD player plugin nor a CD player plugin. I need to stream the things... I'm not sure if I'll build any of these anyway now....

Left & Right Buttons not working in Video & Music
Posted by: Guest - 2004-04-18, 09:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Sub,

Could you check something for me. It looks like when you get in the Video and Music Library screens, the left and right buttons are in-active. This keeps you from navigating between the menus on the left of the screen and the file names on the right of the screen. Operation is the same in the PC and MVP clients.
