M3U playlist problems

Hi,
For the second time I experience problems in playing a m3u playlist. When I click OK on it, an error is given. SOmething like: index out of range...
I've included the content of two problematic playlist. The first I have no clue to what is wrong. For the second one I changed all filenames to be shorter and not contain the ä-character which solved the problem. In allcases winamp played the playlist just fine.

Any ideas?

Yes,
Yesterday I had time to install 017. The first playlist still generetes and error: Error: Index out of range. Must be non negative and within the collection (or something like that).

For the second playlist I don't know. I edited that one on my home machine and don't have the original one there.

Was there ever a solution found to this problem? I am running the latest version 1.93 and still get the same errors as described earlier in the post.

As I don't use gbpvr anymore for playing music (I use winamp controlled by myhtpc for that) I haven't tested this lately. However, I've read somewhere that the cause may be windows media player generated playlists. They include blank lines. Possibly gbpvr cannot handle those...

Thanks MaBo. My playlists are indeed media player generated with a blank line t the bottom. Removing the blank makes no difference unfortuneately. Thanks anyway.

I've now have corrected this error in GB-PVR, but I suspect you still wont get the result you expected.

What was happening was GB-PVR was adding all the songs from the m3u file into a list if the file exists on your harddrive, then passing the list to the "Play" function. It was failing because there was no songs in the list. I've altered GB-PVR so it no longer expects the list to contain at least one song.

You'll need to look at the m3u file to determine why they can be found on your hard drive. This could be a few things, absolute paths that are no longer correct, relative paths to directories that have moved, files that have been renamed...

Thanks for yor time on this sub. I have used the same playlists with the Hauppauge MVP software and they work fine. I'll look at this again just in case I am mistaken.
