Nice work sub! Its getting close to the point I might switch over from SageTV.
I'm having a few problems in 0.15 with XCard. I'm using the Hauppauge remote with direct access (no ir.exe).
1) Menu doesn't appear on screen. Live TV and video playback is on TV but the menu appears on my monitor. The show information when paused appears on TV but when I select menu its on the monitor. If I select "Net Radio" and then click "OK" on a station, then the menu appears on TV. But once I play video again, it reverts to the monitor.
2) When watching live TV, I can pause and resume but rewind / FF do nothing. I can navigate recorded movies but not live TV.
3) When watching a video and I press rewind, it appears to fast forward instead. But when I hit play it seems that it was rewinding, i.e. playback is at a prior point in time. (skip forward / back work fine)
4) Net Radio does not output audio through the XCard
5) Volume controls are non-functional on XCard.
gbpvr has great potential. I'm very impressed with what you've done so far and am looking forward to future versions.
When running button-generator.exe to make your custom buttons you may get "A generic error occured in GDI+." if the directory where the file is to be saved does not exist.
The directory in question is "C:\temp\skin\blue\custom".
Hi,
I'm new to GBPVR and have just installed it with the instructions.
But i don't get any video to play neither live tv will show any picture. All i get ist the message "Video is playing back using TV out, Press 'Home' to return to the menu"
I tried different options with hardware and software decoder, but nothing changed.
Xmltv is finally imported and the channels all have been found in the config, but no video-picture?
Help would be great.
I'm still using myHTPC with an PVR 350 and it works. Just wanted to test GBPVR.
I've kind of lost the plot as to whether the FFDW and RWD should work for recordings on an MVP - nothing happends at the mo' (do I just need to be patient?).
Similarly skip seems to be exibiting strange behaviour. Each successfive skip seems to get larger (and the elasped time on the OSD seems to get a little confused). Eventually the MVP server crashes.
Don't mean to be demanding, just the software is so good the VCR doesn't exist anymore!
thanks for this nice piece of software! While playing around with GBPVR I noticed a few minor things that would be nice to have:
1. An option to delete files in the Video section
2. When you move down or up in the EPG the selection moves more and more to the left because you always select the program that contains the starting time of the currently selected program. If you would remember the middle of the program (and only update this value when moving left or right) and select the program that contains this value you would at least remain at more or less the same time
3. I spent a few hours trying to find out the correct channel settings for my cable for some reason the channel numbers that WinTV found were not the same I needed to enter in GBPVR. To solve this problem some sort of channel scan would be _really_ helpful. Maybe you could add this as an alternative to the 'Update EPG' button for a new capture source. The scan would then populate the source with the found channels. This way one could flip through the found channels and write down the channel name and ID.
Im using a PVR 350 w/ the SVideo connected to my TV. Do I need to take the audio out of the 350 and run it into the line in of the sound card then to the tv audio in to be able to control the sound with the remote?
