I changed it to 15 seconds before can't seem to find/remember where I was when I change it for the EPG updates? I really just wanted to change it back to the default which is 60 seconds per freq, right? I am on version Version: 6.1.5.231022.
This is happening on 2 different Android boxes, one ARMv7, the other AArch64. It's unclear whether the problem is with the NextPVR client, Kodi 21.0, or possibly even a sync issue with the NextPVR server.
Since Kodi Nexus, the All Channels group has changed from listing Hidden TV channels (n) and Visible TV channels (n) in the rightmost two columns to Ungrouped channels (n) and Channels in All Channels (n) respectively. These 2 columns for All Channels are still editable by short press selecting a channel to move it from one to the other, however, in other groups defined on the NextPVR server, selecting a channel by short press has no effect on either list. Furthermore, the Ungrouped channels (n) table is empty for each group, when it should include all active channels not in that group. Creating a new custom group in the group manager allows active channels to be moved between the ungrouped and grouped columns, however inactive channels are still shown under "Ungrouped", and selecting one of these channels causes it to disappear entirely.
Because the NextPVR server resets channel data each time the channel list on a device is updated, and IPTV channel data can change frequently, it is preferable to manage channels and groups within Kodi. Unfortunately, the issue described renders this process more difficult than it was previously.
Is it possible to install Next PVR on Win7?
my sys. doe's meet the hardware requirements.
I’ve attempted a few times to install nextpvr unsuccessfully.
1st error was framework
2nd error was blocking the framework due to Operating sys.
Any advice on installing NextPVR thanks
I have noticed a trend where if I was busy doing a scheduled PVR and the stream is lost or going offline, the PVR doesn't seem to know what to do at the end of the allotted streaming time and just keeps on recording until the signal / stream comes back online.
I noted this happening on new scheduled items where the stream was offline / no signal when the recording starts and I also noted this behavior when the stream is cut / disconnected mid recording.
Any ideas on how this issue can be resolved, so that the recording stays within the allotted time. The EPG still has the correct time showing, it is just the stream that is offline.
My NextPVR server is a ten year old HP Microserver running Windows 10. I doubt if Windows 11 will run OK on it so started looking at Linux on an old PC instead. I have setup a second Test Server with NextPVR running on LibreElec. I did a test scan using the installed Astra28.2 transponder list with my SAT>IP tuner but many channels are missing! I manually downloaded the latest Scan Tables in Kodi but little or no difference.
Comparing the Astra-28.2E transponder list settings with those on King of Sat and there are many errors. It looks to be around 18 months out of date! However after a reboot I see a very different list of satellites more like the ones from a King of Sat download. After a search I find the King of Sat tuning files at :-
/storage/.kodi/addons/service.nextpvr/nextpvr.bin/data/tuning/DVB-S/
Unfortunately the 28.2.ini is dated April 2023. I downloaded the latest file and replaced the old 28.2.ini file and also copied a cut down regional .ini file with only 26 transponders I use instead of the 137 transponders on the default file.
A scan using my regional .ini file and finds most of wanted channels. Set EPG to “Freesat(UK)”. Reboot just in case! Select “Update EPG” scans 2 frequencies but zero inserted. Kodi.log enclosed!!

The 34K log file attached disappears what ever I do!!

From a thread I posted in the wrong area:
DateTime displaying in the wrong (US not UK) format in the Recordings screens
(affects UiClients like NLite, yauiclient, uidroid etc.)
where mvallevand pointed us in the right direction.
gEd:
Step 1: Open the Windows Control Panel, press Region and select the Administrative tab.
Step 2: Look for the “Copy your current settings to:” setting in the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Select “Welcome screen and system accounts” and press OK.
Thanks Martin. That's an aspect of Windows I was not familiar with.

Fortuitously maybe it wouldn't allow me to change the NextPVR service to run with my local account probably as my local account doesn't have a password & windows doesn't seem to like that in this situation... but this got me thinking & I remembered that when I setup Windows (a couple of years back.. & the server is setup the same) I created a second account right away without a password so I didn't have to type every time I logged in, so I logged into the primary-first account & checked the admin date formats, which appeared to be right but even so, I then selected copy settings & also ticked the Welcome Screen & System accounts, applied & WahLah when I logged back into my normal user account NLite displayed the Recordings short date format as is normal for NZ. I then did the same thing on the server & uidroid is now also displaying them right/as we expect them to display.
I just installed a new NVIDIA graphics card capable of 4k, and changed resolution of both the Win10 screen (HDMI to Sony A1E) -and- Kodi display setttings to 2160p (3840 x 2160). Since then, video playback has been very jerky. Is there a setting I need to change in NextPVR? I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1265 Model 1196 for OTA.
Every time I change channel I see the message 'Reduced Channel List'.
I'm not sure why I'm seeing this. There are tuners available for every channel AFAIK.
What circumstances cause this message to be displayed?
