I am a recent convert to NextPVR from WMC. I want to bring all my old WMC recordings into the Ready Recordings list and discovered VidImport. I tried it on one folder of recordings and the recordings showed up OK but I noticed that the data was fairly generic so decided to manually update the XML file and re-import it. I did not want to risk deleting the recordings so I renamed the folder and the recordings disappeared from the Ready list. I then renamed the folder back to it's original name and re-imported. NextPVR reported "6 recordings imported successfully" but they are not in the list. Any thoughts/suggestions as to how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use NextPVR for several years now, but I meet since a few weeks a problem during the reading / recording of certain channels (DVB-T). I have "glitches" (I do not know how to call it) on the image and the sound which make the flow impossible to be looked (see this .ts files).
NextPVR (4.0.5 (171208)) is installed on a PC Windows 8.1 (up to date) as backend and I use Kodi 17.6 on another PC Windows 7 as frontend, connected in gigabit Ethernet.
The problem seems present only on the channel of the same multiplex (R2 here in France).
The problem is present in NPVR AND in Kodi.
The problem is present in reading live channel AND in recording of a channel.
The problem is present whatever is the version of Kodi (tested with Kodi 15 and Kodi 16).
The direct reception with the same cable of antenna on my television works very well for all my channels.
I made a scan of the frequencies in NPVR.
I adjusted the frequency of every channel (658000 towards 658175/658174 corresponding to the frequency of the search for my television).
I put as attachment 3 files corresponding to the problem during the reading and recording on Kodi:
- Logs NPVR (logs-20180115-1428.zip);
- Logs Kodi (kodi.zip);
- File Midi-15h_20180115_12001500.ts.
I put as attachment 1 file .ts corresponding to the problem during the direct reading on NPVR:
- Live file BFM TV - 6773.ts
"There have recently been a number of changes to the Freeview signal, although which specific one has upset Panasonic receivers has not been disclosed. Before Christmas, the BBC confirmed the addition of a new HbbTV application broadcast alongside all BBC Freeview channels, following amendments to the BBC's playout and transmission infrastructure, although the BBC says it has tested hundreds of devices to ensure they are compliant with Freeview broadcast standards. HbbTV is due to replace the current MHEG-based system of red button services and information slates (e.g. off-air messages) on Freeview in the coming years."
For the last couple of months there has been a lot more picture breakup, which I had put down to winter weather conditions, but strangely were more on PSB1 mux and PSB3 (DVBT2) mux which usually have strong signals. There is also breakup on the other DVBT2 channels COM7 and COM8 - which are lower powered. All of these muxes now have BBC channels on them.
Sub - Do you think these changes could be causing interruptions to the signal, and if so is there anything you can do?
In addition from the same source: "24-25 Jan 2018: COM7 and COM8: Overnight Guard Interval change from 1/128 to 1/16 to facilitate the multiplexes running a Single Frequency Network (SFN), following forthcoming frequency changes."
Possibly more problems on the way?

Hello. I know this is probably an easy fix, but it escapes me right now. I installed the latest version, and my sound was gone. I played around with the decoders, and was not able to resolve it. Is anyone able to help? I have attached my log file if it helps. Thank you!
I remembering seeing some old post of the Sub doing some kind of picture and picture demo with his Quad tuner.
I was wondering if it is possible to do this or have this added as a feature?
A way to set up a 2 Way, 4 Way, or 8 Way split screen viewing.
Say I have two WinTV Quad Tuners installed for 8 tuners possible.
Could a new feature be added so say I have 8 Channels in my customized TV group and wanted to select all 8 and have them show on the screen simultaneously?
So you would have 8 little windows on one screen which each own tuned channel.
If this can be done can each of the 8 little windows have their own separate mute on/off button and volume level slider?
Even in a normal tuned to one channel situation I noticed there isn't a mute on/off button or volume slide could this be easily added as a feature?
When in Picture in Picture 2 Way mode can it be split screen horizontal or vertical and include their own mute on/off button and volume level slider?
Does anyone here use Comcast with a CableCard and a HD Home Run Prime?
What are you using to get the TV listings populated? Is there a free way to get and equivalent to EPG OTA data? Does Comcast have a channel to scan for EPG like data or is there some internet site that offers Comcast Cable TV Listings EPG data?
Currently I just manually record them by using an online TV guide to see what shows are on. I have no problems getting EPG data on OTA channels so would like a similar convenience on Comcast Cable channels if possible.
I'm not sure if it is by design or not, but while playing around with an NPVR Windows client I thought I was tidying up but found to my cost that deleting channels that appear in the client, that it removed them from the server..... Thank heavens for twice-weekly-ish backups of the database.
My PC has two decoders, one which is capable of both DVB-T and DVB-T2, and the other which is capable of DVB-T only. I've made the dual-mode decoder the default.
I want to set two recurring programmes which overlap. The first one that I added is available on DVB-T (so either decoder can be used), the one that I added later is available on DVB-T2 only (so the dual-mode decoder must be used). However I get the beginning of the DVB-T programme and the end of the DVB-T2 programme: it looks as if NPVR is using the dual-mode decoder for both recordings.
What change should I make to get both recordings? Should I change the default device to the DVB-T decoder? Does order of adding timed events matter: should I delete the one the I added first and add it again so it is added after the DVB-T2-only programme? Should NPVR be able to work out which decoder to use for optimal recording - to say "I've got a later recording that must use the dual-mode device because it's on a DVB-T2 mux, so I need to use the DVB-T device for the earlier recording even though it's not the default device"?
I got a 2nd HDD just for NextPVR recordings. I was recording on my C: drive, and now on my E: drive. I moved the recording folders and files to the new drive, but Kodi can't see those recordings any more, but it can see the new recordings that are set up on the new HDD.
What can I do to get Kodi to see the old recordings from before I changed recording drives/paths?
