Hello,
im totaly new to this kinda stuff.
I have an old PC as my Homeserver. It is running Jellyfin for music and movies and Moonlight to stream my GamingPC to my livingroom.
Specs: i5-4690 / Radeon R5 239 1GB / RAM 8GB DDR3
Now i bought a Hauppauge 5525 TVTuner Card.
With the original Hauppauge Software WinTV it works perfect. But you can not implement WinTV into Jellyfin as far as i know.
So i just tried to install NextPVR and ran the Channel-Scan.
On DVB-S it found 235 Channels. (Im from Germany)
After that i ran the EPG Scan and it walked through without any problems.
But there are only working 5 Channels.
-KIKA HD
-ZDFInfo HD
-zdf_neo HD
-3sat HD
-ZDF HD
All the other Cahnnels say (no listing) and after a while of loading i get the error "Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)"
In Jellyfin there are shown all Channels but no Channel is working. I always just get a BlackScreen without any Errorcode.

The attached file shows several(12) extracts from a web.log created during a live TV viewing sessionon a tablet with Kodi from a V4 desktop using WiFi and a linksys device. During the session, there were several 'freezes,' all of which resumed automatically after varying length of time.
Do the extracted log segments indicate where the trouble might be?
I have NextPVR running in a docker container on a RPi 4. I have it connected to my Megasat MEG-8000 Sat>IP server (which it finds in the devices menu) but when I do a channel scan (using Astra 28.2E) it finds no channels.
I can see that NextPVR is asking the Megasat to tune to different frequencies via it's web UI which also shows that it is receiving a signal, but NextPVR is reporting no Sat>IP data in the loads. Is it simply that it's not waiting long enough?
I create my own XMLTV file which works fine, but recenlty it stopped. I can't do mapping either, when I click the wrench, select my XML file, it gives me an empty list.
My channel display-name's are the same as in NextPVR, is my XMLTV not formatted correctly anymore?
hi,
I have a new installation of NextPVR running on a Windows 11 machine.
When accessing channels via the Web interface, I can see the channel loads, but no image is displayed and no sound is present.
I have noted that switching to another channel that does display an image on the same provider, and then switching back sometimes fixes the issue and an image is displayed and sound is present.
Sometimes this does not work and then the Desktop app needs to be run and only after running the channel via the desktop app does the Web app corresponding channel work - this issue works both ways.
I also have some channels that fails to retrieve a stream (transcoder failed) - but when I open the stream via VLC it works fine.
I'm running into what seems to be a bug, where adding or editing a timer from the Kodi guide interface to be a "One time (manual)" type has no effect; that is, once I click OK to create or edit the timer, it still remains a guide recording with none of the manual modifications saved.
I can make a video of the process if need be, but this is pretty straightforward to reproduce:
In Kodi (v21, on Windows), navigate to TV->Guide and click on an upcoming show. Then click the "Add timer" button. Change the Type to "One time (manual)". Change the end time to, say, 30 minutes longer than what is pre-filled. Click OK to create the timer. Now go back one screen, and click on Timers. Find the timer that was just created and click on it. Note that the Type is not "One time (manual)", but "One time (guide)", meaning the manually edited extended time entered will not be recorded, but, instead, it will just default to whatever is in the guide. If you try editing the Type here and changing the end time and clicking OK, the timer still doesn't get edited. It remains a "One time (guide)" recording.
I noticed this happening in practice today because I wanted to record a sports program from the guide, but wanted to enter a manually extended amount of time (a few additional hours). Unfortunately, because of the bug, these manual modifications were ignored and it ended up just recording the program for the guide's length of time.
I understand workarounds might be to set some default padding that is significantly extended across all recordings, or to remember to record all the following programs in a row, but those are obviously just workarounds.
I've just started using this so just learning, thanks for a product that actually records IPTV!
Did a couple recordings last night, both recorded so that a great start. Two issues.
One, the time on Kodi says both are 20 hour recordings when they are 2-2.5 hours. No big deal really, just wondering why that is? I'm tipping it's something to to with the stream having an issue while recording.
Sceond, the sound on one file won't work. Kodi says its an AC3 file but zero channels. It's from UK Sky Sports F1 channel.

So I turned on converting the TS native files to MP4 when recording. Unfortunately after converting the subtitles are removed from the MP4 or not even converted.
Will turn off MP4 conversion and just deal with TS files only.
Can this be reported as a problem that needs fixing?
