Good day to all. My first post here so I apologize up front in case I'm not in the correct forum. My setup...WDZ custom box, Kodi 17.6, NextPVR 4.04, NPVR add-on enabled, IPTV simple client enabled, Vader Streams paid subscription. Basic question is how do I get this to integrate with Kodi to record live TV shows consistently? It has been hit and miss when I try to record a show and I have been testing this out for a few days. I can get to the web portion via local host:8866 (127.0.0.1 bla bla). I launch Kodi, start NPVR service and check if the localhost finds the landing page and it does. The page loads with the URL Playlist indicating the channels but not the EPG portion telling me what is on at a given time. The same is true for the client NextPVR program. It show me the channels list but nothing on the right side indicating what is on.
Now looking at the Kodi side of things, in the TV section I get everything and it all works just fine. There have been times when I am able to record and I can watch my recorded tests but for the most part, I cannot record on a constant. One thing I did notice that was different was the recording button at the floor of Kodi. Sometimes it is illuminated and it records. When not illuminated no recording happens. I have tried various configurations and no joy. The context menu also fives me no recording choices at times and sometimes it does. I do verify that the recording service has started before I begin my test recordings. Since I am using a paid subscription from Vaders I would think that the NPVR and web landing page would be populated just as in Kodi. I feel I am close to the correct setup since I have been able to record at times but obviously I am missing something.

I've been using NextPVR for some years, with an ATSC card for OTA and one or more Hauppauge Colossus (original) cards for capturing from my Shaw Cable Motorola boxes.
Recently, I've switched to Telus, the other ISP/TV company in my area (Western Canada). Their Optik TV product is delivered over IP, ultimately being handled by a Cisco ISB7105. I've got the Hauppauge IR blaster, plus a USB-UIRT, but neither seems to be able to capture/learn the RC-MM codes from the provided remote (Ruwido is the OEM), and none of the supplied code pages works. So I can't get my PC to turn the box on and off, or change channels.
There's an iOS/Android app for Optik-on-the-go, which lets subscribers watch TV on-demand or live on their phones or tablets (although I haven't set this up). There's also a web app, but I couldn't get it to work in Chrome or Edge: seems like it needs Silverlight, so maybe only Firefox or IE will work? I didn't feel like adding a third or fourth browser, so I didn't try....
Telus also has a new, cord-cutter-friendly TV service called Pik TV. It's delivered through an Android box. Or a phone/tablet with an app—but explicitly NOT the nVidia Shield TV I already have.
What are my options for getting TV from Telus into NextPVR? I'd be OK with an IR-learning/blasting solution, but of course I'd prefer some sort of direct-download solution. Any ideas?
I've just downloaded UK EPG data on a new NextPVR install. The data seemed to download OK, but I get no data for any of the HD channels. Is there any way of using the EPG data from the equivalent non-HD channels (e.g. use BBC 1 London EPG data for BBC1 HD), so that I can schedule HD recordings from the NextPVR interface?
I'm running NextPVR 4_0_4_171121 on Windows 10. My capture card is a Blackgold BGT3620.
Also, is XMLTV GUI working for anyone in the UK? My grabs fail from all 3 of the available sources.

I've broken my system and in trying to fix I've dug myself into a hole.
My old XP system has been running 3.9.2 in 'if it ain't broke' mode for years but I finally started on an upgrade path. First thing on the list was to go all digital and replace my final analog tuner with an HD PVR2. Got a 2nd hand one, plugged it in and dowloaded and installed the Capture package (was going to just download drivers but the download link was inop.).
All went well at first, it installed and seemed to work but then I noticed a problem - my DVB-T device started to fail with 'unable to locate tuner filter (Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-T Tuner/Demod)' errors. Everything else seemed OK and at this point I hadn't done anything with the new HD tuner apart from add a single test channel. This was l yesterday so I left it to do it's best until today to investigate.
So today I've broken it completely as NRecord now crashes with no errors in the (attached) logs but these 3 errors in events:

Things to note are:
When I installed Hauppauge Capture and rebooted an MS .Net security update was installed.
I have since uninstalled Capture - there was no change to original problem.
I viewed config.xml and devices.xml with EditPadLite but thought I had made no changes.
Deciding to dig myself in deeper I decided to install the latest v4 NPVR, which went OK but NRecord still fails with the above.
In summery I have two problems: firstly the installation of HD PVR2 broken my DVB-T tuner (drivers?) and then separately I edited something somewhere which broke NRecord. I need to fix the latter, which I'm hoping is a simple config issue, to then look again at the tuners.
Any advice would be much appreciated, I know I should be moving on to W10 - this was supposed to be a simple first step!
Hi all,
Just started with NextPVR and successfully recorded two shows on Friday evening. Ran the first few minutes yesterday to make sure the recordings were OK and noticed that in the "Ready Recordings" screen they both had a green bar down the left-hand side. This morning I checked that Saturday evening recordings had happened and the two from Friday have disappeared from the list. The files are still there on the hard drive so I have two questions:
1) how do I get them back into the "Ready Recordings" screen?
2) how do I stop it happening in the future.
My apologies if this is a dumb question but I have tried googling the problem without success.

I had the same problem on the last 4.04 release. I've tried again and with the new reader I can't play recordings properly at all. I basically get audio and video breakups constantly. I've tried using mainconcept codec, Microsoft DTV and LAV and its the same with all. If I use the Videos "plugin" then playback is smooth as silk (Still across the network)
With the last release I found that using the legacy reader and videos interface was a reasonable work around to watching recordings, bit of a pain as you can't delete from Videos and locating the right episode can sometimes be a pain but it was working until issues were resolved. Yesterday I grabbed the 171121 build and at least I could playback videos with the legacy reader (last release even the legacy reader played poorly). BUT - I have terrible audio sync issues that every 30 seconds or so the audio will start to drift out of sync.
I've stuffed around and with the updated npvrtsreader from other recent forum posts (Dated 24/11) I am back to being able to playback from the videos menu option ok. I've attached logs where I wiped them, opened NPVR and played one recording which was unwatchable and quit.
I am recording on a pc in the garage in a cabinet and playing back from a NUC in the lounge over gigabit ethernet and my throughput over lan on a copy is over 100MB per second.
I recorded what my playback looks like on my phone if that'll help let me know and I'll share it from onedrive.
On a side note I can only get audio on Freeview HD terrestrial recordings now using LAV where previously I could with Microsoft DTV audio decoded. I can still select the MS one for HE-AAC but I get no audio at all. I was running Windows 7 media center which is how I have the decoders - I did an inplace upgrade to 10 a month or two ago so perhaps they are broken due to that although I'd swear they broke with 4.04.
If required I can arrange remote access with teamviewer or similar if it helps.
Not exactly a wishlist item, but more of a suggestion. While the "Zip my log files" button and text are easy to see and read while sitting and looking at my desktop screen, I find them very difficult to notice/read on the TV from across the living room. Perhaps by making it easier to see, new users will be more likely to notice it and thus upload the correct logs when they have an issue? I just notice that there are a LOT of new threads where no logs, or only a few logs get uploaded. I'm just thinking it might be one more thing to help make your life easier, sub.
PS: You could have a huge future in teaching customer service for corporations. You run rings around some of the biggest corporations on earth when it comes to timely, understanding customer support for your product!
When I connect to my NextPVR web GUI from another machine on the LAN I get no EPG data, even though the EPG is populated on the server (I can see the EPG data when I run the NextPVR app on the server). Also, when I switch back from the TV Guide page to the "Now" page on the web GUI the Live TV page content (headings) disappears. I attach my log.
It's a new NextPVR (4_0_4_171121) install on Windows 10. I've tried both Chrome and Edge browsers on the remote machine but get the same problem on both.
The last two nights NDigitalHost.exe has crashed on my PC as it was run from the schedule to update the EPG. It also does this if I update the EPG manually from Settings | Channels.
On one occasion, restarting the recording service allowed me to update manually, but it hasn't worked this time.
It consistently crashes at the end of the 60-second timer for the third of eight multiplexes: if it's relevant, it's at the end of mux COM4 or the beginning of mux COM5.
What evidence do you need? These are the crash reports from Control Panel | Admin Tools | Event Viewer
Do you need anything else? I've not seen the problem before yesterday and I'm not aware of making any significant changes (eg installing new software or drivers) for a while. I can still make scheduled recordings - I've just tried a manual one.

I notice that the first event log relates to Faulting application path NDigitalHost.exe (scheduled) and the second to NPVR.exe (manual) but both refer to Faulting module path: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\clr.dll
I'm running into an issue when changing channels with NextPVR (with HDHomeRun Prime).
When I open Live TV, I can change channels a few times and eventually (anywhere from 1-10 channels), the channel will stop changing. The previous channel image will freeze, the OSD for the next channel shows up, but the channel never changes.
In the Temp folder, I see a 0 byte file with the new channel name, but the file never grows.
To resolve, I can go back to the Main Menu then click Live TV. The new channel then works perfectly fine. If I change the channel a few more times, the issue repeats.
I've tried messing around with decoders. Have even tried disabling the audio decoder and video decorder (separatley) to test but it still gets stuck (e.g. disable video and hear audio changing when flipping through but then gets stuck the same way, so I think that rules out the audio/video decorders).
While the "Zip my log files" button and text are easy to see and read while sitting and looking at my desktop screen, I find them very difficult to notice/read on the TV from across the living room.
