  Channel List (native controller)
Posted by: psycik - 2017-06-19, 02:52 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (2)

with this call:
http://server:8866/service?method=channel.list

Is there a flag I can set to say order by device type? Or do I need to create a group of channels, and get a group id posted in the url to restrict to a device type (ie a colossus)?

  Needed migration files
Posted by: davidc502 - 2017-06-19, 02:23 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

I've built a new AMD machine, and would like to move the TV tuner card over to it, and NextPVR. However, I don't want to go through the hassle of re-discovering and editing all the channels including setting up EPG.

What are all the files I need to move over to make a seamless migration over to the new PC?

Thanks,

Recording list not refreshing in Kodi: fixed!!!
Posted by: evans036 - 2017-06-18, 08:50 PM - Forum: Kodi / XBMC - No Replies

guys,

i have been plagued with kodi never refreshing the recorded shows list unless i restarted kodi.

i think i have found the issue.

it seems network related. my house is networked and my nextpvr box is in the basement. it goes thru a high-end switch in that room and then to my office and thru a cheap switch.

if i bypass that cheap switch then npvr refreshes as expected.

i note that sniffing the packets using wireshark, those packets to retrieve the list of recorded shows (via web service recording.list) would result in reset acks back from the server when going thru the cheap office switch. So the actual list of record shows was not received.

thought this might help others out there.

i can provide the actual network packets if anyone wants.

  MPEG4 decoder help - Comcast
Posted by: aleckrohto - 2017-06-18, 04:01 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (16)

Hello everyone.
I use a cablecard with service from Comcast. Comcast recently made all the channels MPEG4 and broke how I watch channels. I have tried changing the MPEG4 decoders in settings and nothing has worked. What should I do? Is there a patch I can install?

Manually Changing Audio PID / Channel Copy
Posted by: PhilBanx - 2017-06-18, 01:16 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

Hello,

I am having trouble finding where I would enter APIDs manually.

I would like to copy multiple instances of a specific channels using different APIDs. I did export the channel XML file, but I don't see a tag for changing the APID in it.

Thanks so much.

Peace

Latest Windows 10 update broke things
Posted by: dongna - 2017-06-17, 03:41 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (5)

So last night I installed the latest "super" update for Windows 10. And after my PC had rebooted I discovered that my 2 NMT's no longer work.

Not sure where to start. Here's the output from NMT Syntax Check. Note that originally the Username and Password were blank-- the information that's in the report below was added by me in a desperate attempt to self-diagnose before coming here.

  SID expires??
Posted by: Svekke - 2017-06-16, 07:58 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (5)

I am working with the REST api in Emby. But sometimes for some reason I don't get any information back.
I just debugged and waited for some time.

When I do then a call to the webservice with a SID that I generated at startup. It doesn't work. If I generate a new sid. It's working again.
Does the SID expires at some time?

  Wake timer in the past?
Posted by: erik - 2017-06-16, 07:54 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

I'm monitoring when the NPVR PC wakes and saw that after the last recording of the "day/night" has finishes and the system went to sleep it wakes within 10 seconds without any recording being requested.

This is the output from the system event log showing sleep/wake (I added a powerdebug even to show the cause of waking) in reverse order.

You will notice that the system sleeps at 03:46:28 and is awake again at 03:47:28 (after updating the system time) and the wake cause was a timer set by NRecord

Looking at the NRecord log for that first wakeup (the intended recording wake)

Would that cause an immediate wake after going to standby at 3:47:33?

  EPG missing data
Posted by: acemib - 2017-06-14, 03:00 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

Strangest thing, suddenly my EPG missing data on some channels and only 6 days out. This has been ongoing for a week and I just figured it would resolve itself, but it is getting worse. I use Schedules Direct and it works fine on WMC but not NPVR.

When I force update just now I get error "Date Requested (2017-07-04) not within 2017-06-14 -> 2017-06-15 sta"

I haven't made any changes to settings in months and using latest version, so this is really baffling. Any ideas to fix?
