NextTool Unhandled exception

I'm having a problem running NextTool.  Can anyone help please?  I'm happy to provide any additional information.  I googled which led me to install .NET 8.0 from:
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/8.0.  
I installed the Desktop runtime and the runtime, reset the system, same NextTool issue.
I tried this on another Windows 10 system, same result.

Installed NextTool-2.5.0 on Windows 10 into C:\Program Files\nextpvr\
Deleted NextTool.runtimeconfig.json and NextTool.deps.json before running NextTool for the first time
Opened a command window and typed:
cd c:\Program Files\NextPVR
NextTool --import "C:\Users\Public\Videos\NFL Football"

Here's what I got:

You shouldn't need to install dotnet Are you running NextPVR v7?

Thank you for your reply. I am running version 6.1.5.231022 of NextPVR. Also, I get the same unhandled exception if I just run NextTool with no parameters, if that tells you anything.

That explains it v2.5 only works with v7. On the wiki there are older versions.

Thanks again! That was the ticket. I rolled back to v2.2.1 and it worked. Your help is very much appreciated! Here's the resulting output in case anyone else reads this thread and wants to know what to expect:
