I would love to see the Channel Name appended to the Recorded File Name Eg.... "Speedweek" on "SBS 1" Currently is output to "G:\Recorded TV\Speedweek_20151129_14011600.ts" This could become "G:\Recorded TV\Speedweek_20151129_14011600 [SBS 1].ts"
The reason being our CH 9 has done some adjustments to its channels (fair enough)
Their old HD Channel was 1440x1080i at 16:9 and MPEG (all is good, all the other HD broadcasts are the same, well almost ... "ABC News 24" is 1280x720 at 16:9 but still MPEG)
9HD is NOW 1920x1080i at 16:9 BUT "AVC" AND "AC3"
I would like to be able to convert the recordings for 9HD to MPEG in postprocessing.bat prior to "Normal" processing.
The only way I can think of identifying 9HD is to have 9HD in the file name.

Was watching a show, audio just suddenly dropped out. Not sure what happened, but I've lost audio on all files now playing through NPVR. Windows sounds work fine, and the same video I was watching I was able to play fine with another media player, but all video files now suddenly have no sound when played through NPVR, whether external video files or files recorded with NPVR. Logs attached, not sure what to do or try next to fix this.
Hoping someone can provide me some understanding to the recurring recording priority logic.
I have read every post in the forum but was unable to troubleshoot my issue. Best I can tell, I may have a corrupt database or something. Here are some of the underlying problems.
When I priority sort "descending", NPVR still thinks I am "ascending." I currently have 53 recurring programs. I can manually move between 1-38. But 39-53 are fixed and will not move. I have run -removehistory and -updatedb, but that has not solved it. Also, I have plug-in TV Listings and the priority list does not match Recordings from the NPVR program (well, just a few shows - not all). When I check the recurring-backup file it definitely still shows ascending no matter what sort I use.
Please let me know what files to post. Possibly the db3 or NRecord? Thanks.
I have been at this for hours and I cannot seem to make sense of all the individual posts and the instructions.
I have installed imageGrabLite into the nextPVR folder in Program Files. I have run the program in command prompt and i keep getting an unhandled exception.
I do not know if this is a program error or the fact that my recordings live on another drive?
Is there a step by step guide? The plugin page in the wiki tells me what commands I want to run (command 2) to rename the files.
I am trying to rename my current files (on a separate drive) and then setup to rename after a recording has completed. NEXT PVR lives on C: and my recordings default to E:
I recently added a second HDPVR2 in my setup. I'm using graphs to run both with networkrecorder and a custom ir software exe that I made triggering one itach device. All is working perfectly. There is just one minor issue with the setup.
When I'm watching a channel in one device an try to start a second stream on a second one or if I'm watching live tv and start to record something the stream freezes for some seconds while the second stream is starting then it returns. Looking at the logs it seems that the first stream is stopped but soon after the second one starts the stoppage is cancelled.
This is a little bit annoying with your going trough channels in different devices.
I can understand the use for exporting database recording information to these backup files.
My question: Are these two files, recording-backup.xml and recurring-backup.xml, ever used for input to the database? Are they used for explicit import by the user?
I guess what I'm driving at is, are there dependencies between these files and the database so that they need to be kept "in sync" at any given moment?
They are giving away a decryption utility for DVD and Bluray. Scroll down to the DVDFab Passkey offer. There is no expiry date for the key.
The utility just runs in the background and allows you to play BluRay disks in NextPVR, just use the DVD plugin.
Its also works with Media Player Classic, vlc etc..
I took advantage of a similar offer several months ago. So far it has worked without any problems.
I cannot see a time limit for the offer, last time it was for one week only.
Since first starting with NextPVR I have "tested" different things with a laptop. When it worked I would then set it up in the desktop. Well today I had an "odd" message pop up when starting the recording service on the laptop. Any ideas on what is wrong?
