  TitanTV UUID
Posted by: tundrwd - 2016-02-04, 01:01 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Have been trying to find how to get a UUID - the legit way - but I can't find anything anywhere, except TitanTV's "Get" page, to sign up and get a UUID.

Seems to require a "partner ID", and I'm assuming that NextPVR isn't a "partner"? So is there anyway to get a UUID for TitanTV to use it's service?

LiveTV or PIP allways use LAV Audio decoder.
Posted by: Handy.Man - 2016-02-03, 11:01 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

My stream are MPEG-2 with AC3 audio.

I configured the client to use the AC3-Filter Audio Decoder
The server is configured with LAV Audio as AC3-Filter is not installed on the server.

On the client, watching a recording uses AC3 Audio decoder, however PIP or LiveTV always use LAV Audio Decoder!

EPG update not working after deactivating tuner
Posted by: Sheik Yerbouti - 2016-02-03, 09:03 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (5)

I changed my setup last weekend, deactivating two of my four HDHomerun tuners. After this the EPG wasn't updated at night. It looks like npvr is still trying to use the deactived tuner, giving the following error:

Code:
2016-02-03 20:51:54.455 [DEBUG][6] Updating EPG... 2016-02-03 20:51:54.458 [DEBUG][6] No C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\UpdateEPG.bat file found 2016-02-03 20:51:54.458 [DEBUG][6] CaptureSource.LoadAll() 2016-02-03 20:51:56.467 [DEBUG][6] CaptureSource.LoadAll() 2016-02-03 20:51:56.473 [DEBUG][6] Number of broadcastEPGChannels: 47 2016-02-03 20:51:56.473 [DEBUG][6] broadcast channel: NPO 1 HD 2016-02-03 20:51:56.473 [DEBUG][6] captureSourceOID: 21 2016-02-03 20:51:56.473 [DEBUG][6] found capture source 2016-02-03 20:51:56.475 [ERROR][6] Unexpected EPG error: System.NullReferenceException: De objectverwijzing is niet op een exemplaar van een object ingesteld. bij NShared.EPGManager.UpdateEPG(IEPGUpdateCallback callback)

I've solved it with a fresh install, but maybe it can be solved in a new release to prevent it from happening with other users. I couldn't find how npvr selects the tuner to use for the epg update.

One question though: my provider broadcasts all epg data for all channels on one channel. Is there way to only select this channel for the epg update? Because that would make it really quick.

  PC v. Settop Box Time-of-day
Posted by: jcole998 - 2016-02-03, 06:35 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Has anyone researched how best to keep the time-of-day clock used by a cable TV settop box in sync with a PC's time-of-day clock? Is there a common "timebase trigger" that can be used to keep them together?

As of now, I check each week and after a reboot to make sure the two clocks show the same time-of-day, to the second. If left unattended, the clocks will drift apart to the point of missing showtime.

Thanks to the wizards who know stuff like this.

Program Responds Slowly when Signal Quality is Poor
Posted by: jp2code - 2016-02-03, 03:27 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

If I were to use the tuner built into my television and a signal sucked, I push the channel change button and go to the next one.

I have noticed in NextPVR that when I select a channel that has poor signal quality, the entire program seems to hang until either a timeout is exceeded or enough signal gets through to let the interface respond.

This seems to be a bigger issue when using the NextPVR plugin with Kodi, but it also happens when I use NextPVR directly. The program acts similar to a web browser trying to connect to a website.

Is there a fix for this? It could just be some setting that I have not enabled.

  NextPVR and EventGhost: control api?
Posted by: V_J - 2016-02-03, 12:04 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (13)

Hello,

Small question... How can EventGhost be used to control NextPVR? From the wiki, I found an example where GBPVR is controlled via EventGhost using hotkeys and window identification.
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tips/EventGhost

Given that there is a web interface, I suspect there is some alternative way via json or so. I found this thread:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...eb-Console
And particularly this post:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post466770

Quote:There are already several API's available via sub's web server and NEWA.
Where can I find documentation on those?

Thanks!

  User friendly, meh
Posted by: mvallevand - 2016-02-03, 02:13 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Just checked some recordings and my friendly cable co thought it might be nice to give give a tutorial to record instead of TV. Grr. Hopefully this isn't going to be an ongoing battle and they never decide to insert some ads like YT does, it might kill my trusty HDPVR

  Error editing a timer
Posted by: gnuru - 2016-02-03, 01:35 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I have a recurring scheduled recording for Sundays at 9:00PM.
I tried to edit the recording and got an error - see the attached screenshot
Below is the text in the details.

Channels found in scan won't assign to device
Posted by: possum - 2016-02-03, 12:29 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

Hi all. I'm a old time GBPVR user and decided to dust off some hardware recently and try to get things rolling again. All of the new menus and all are unfamiliar and i'm having a hard time getting this to go. The problem I have is that when i go to the "Device Setup" and select my device everything seems well. I run the scan and plenty of channels show up. Everything looks dandy and all the boxes are checked by default so I hit ok and no changes seem to be applied. No channels show up anywhere and my ASTC tuner or whatever it is still shows no channels. Am I missing something??(I've searched forum posts and the quickstart to no avail) I have a HVR-1600 and i'm receiving OTA signal near Chicago if it matters.

Thank you!

Tom

  Channel identification
Posted by: DStorkamp - 2016-02-02, 08:35 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

I am a new user and could not find information about my problem, I'm hoping someone in the community can help with what I hope is an easy question.

I am used to seeing my channels listed on our TV such as 11.1 KARE-NBC-HD, 5.1 KMSP-HD, etc., with our local stations in their usual low numbers. On NPVR, however, our local NBC channel is loaded as channel #376.

Then when I look at the TV Guide setting, several channels are populated, but there are several "unknown" channels without data, several of the more obscure channels that DO have data (such as local weather), but the vast majority of even the common channels (local network, Disney, HGTV, VH1, etc.) do not have program listings.

Is there an easy way to calibrate my channels back to what I'm used to (such as 11.1, 5.1, etc.)? And did I maybe miss a programming step to get program listings? (I used "mc2xml.exe" to populate the program listings).

Thanks for any new-start advice you can provide!
