I tried to record last nights episode of "Haven". While the file seems to be the correct size, it won't play. The file seems to be corrupted. I have attached the logs. Is there anything that can be done? How do I avoid this in the future? I guess I am stuck watching on demand with the commercials!
I am having trouble viewing channels that I believe are switched digital video channels on my Windows 10 Nextpvr setup. I can view all my other channels. When I try to view the channel i just receive a black screen, all other 100 channels work. Is there any additional configuration that needs to be done to get these channels to work? I loaded my Windows 8 Image with media center everything else the same and media center was able to tune these channels fine so I know its not a wiring / signal problem
Here is my setup using Windows 10 and Nextpvr 3.5.7. Ceton Tuner InfiniTV PCI card with a Cox Cable Card. This is attached to a splitter that also has a Cisco STA1520 Tuning Adapter. I've also attached my NPVR.log file any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks
I've never tried ripping DVDs for media server purposes so I'm completely in the dark about this stuff. I need to clear some cupboard space and I have a new HDD so decided to rip a load of old DVDs so they could be boxed up and put in the loft.
So far I've tried Handbrake (but couldn't really work it out) and DVDFab (which sort of worked but suggested it would take 6 hours to rip a single 40 minute TV episode from DVD.
OK, my machine is old and doesn't have much grunt (Win XP, P4) but it works fine as a general media server. Is there any software which is mostly 'point and click' which will rip DVDs in a time where I won't have to wait a life time to rip a few dozen DVDs?
I've recently started using NextPVR and have set up Schedules Direct as my EPG source. Everything seems to be working, however I'm running into problems obtaining listings for some local channels (CBS, etc.). My NVPRlogfile has several code: 7020 SCHEDULE_RANGE_EXCEEDED errors in it:
{"stationID":"10700","serverID":"20141201.web.2","code":7020,"response":"SCHEDULE_RANGE_EXCEEDED","minDate":null,"maxDate":null,"requestedDate":"2015-11-20","message":"Date requested (2015-11-20) not within -> for stationID 10700."}
This is happening for several channels over the entire requested time period:

I'm not sure if this is a problem with NVPR or if I need to contact someone in the Schedule Direct forum, so I'm posting here first.
Just wondered if there were plans to add touch screen support to X-Newa for use on Android tablets?
(Not a huge issue as today I have successfully copied recordingprefs.xml file from windows NextPVR addon to android convergence skin and have the season record option via NextPVR addon. But it would be nice to use X-Newa on both clients (windows and android).
I have installed Kodi and NxtPVR on the same box (16 GB RAM with Radeon graphics card and AMD 8-core processor) to configure Kodi with the add-ons before exporting to other boxes. The install was completed two months ago and everything was working fine. For the last few weeks I have been completing little tweaks to the video add-ons (not the PVR client) heading into the holidays where I planned to get it on to my HTPCs. All of a sudden I began getting NextPVR connection lost errors in kodi and nothing was changed. The pin, IP address (I just used the loopback 127.0.0.1) are all unchanged. NextPVR is up and runnning. The OS is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Again it was working fine for two months with NO ISSUES. The error messages in the kodi.log file are copied below:

The web server is clearly down since when I navigate to 127.0.0.1:8866 you cannot connect. I stopped the NextPVR recording services and then attempted to start it using a a command prompt with 'run as administrator', went to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR" directory, ran "NRecord.exe RUN." I got the following error message:

I have included hyperlinks to screenshots of my settings in both Kodi and NextPVR (Clients tab). What is going on and how do I fix it?
I have a Shield Android TV running the latest version of Kodi and X-Newa. Recordings play back perfectly but whenever I try to watch Live TV I get stutter every few seconds. This is OTA ATSC from an HDHomerun. Any ideas what might be causing this? I do have path substitution set up for both recordings and live tv but as I recall, path substitution is not used for live tv.
Yesterday MS released this major update to Windows 10.
After installing this update, some services (including the NPVR recording service) would no longer start automatically. It would appear in services as "stopped".
The solution in my case was in run -> services.msc to change "Automatic" to "Automatic - Delayed Start" and it seemed to have solved the problem and the service now starts as expected.
I could not find anything online about this and just happened to stumble upon this solution. Posting this just in case someone else runs into this.
Using VLC on my Android tablet and entering the LAN address of the desktop that is running NPVR I can get a live picture and sound of the channel requested. It plays fine for anywhere from 30 seconds to three minutes then it locks up. Any ideas on how to stop the lock up?
