having a bit of trouble setting up gb-pvr with the channels for my card.

card - Blackgold DVB-T
OS - WinXP Pro sp2

In the config menu i go to <capture sources> then <edit>.
In <recording source> i have selected BDA Recording Plugin and then my card.
In <EPG Source> i have selected XMLTV Plugin and located my listings file.

I click Update EPG and in the channels box it shows the relevant channels i chose in xmltv.

I then click "map digital channels to EPG channels" and this is where i get problems.

I get the message:
---------
Debug Assertion Failed!
Program: ....\gbpvr\config.exe
File: ....\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\atlmfc\include\atlcomcli.h
Line: 150

Expression: p!=0
---------

Any ideas? Not sure if im doing something wrong and i'd really like to get this working.

Any info/help appreciated.

Can you reproduce the problem, then post your config.exe-native.log file?

Ah, I didnt know gbpvr created logs. After a quick look in the gbpvr folder i think i found what your after.

There were 4 "creative.exe-native.log"s in total and three of them were the exact same, hence i've posted 2.

It looks like one of the BDA components normally present on a machine is not installed on your machine. Can you try another BDA app to confirm your BDA drivers are functioning?

hmm, my card was supplied with the WDM drivers since im not using WinMCE. I got the BDA drivers from the blackgold website and just installed over the top but i spose its possible it didnt work properly.

Currently to watch/record tv im using the supplied software. It works fine but its quite limiting in features including no epg which is why im looking into gbpvr.

Can you recommend something i could try that would verify if the bda drivers are working properly?

Woohoo, problem solved. in device manager there were 6 "components" for my card one of which didn't update when i tried installed the BDA drivers. I forced the component to update with the bda version and that solved the problem.

Cheers for the help sub. Nice proggy too, i finally got a proper epg Smile

One other thing - with the original software there there would be a slight lip sync delay on certain channels, it wasnt major but quite annoying, i put it down to the card. But fortunately this problem doesnt exist with gbpvr. Didnt expect it but very nice bonus.
