I am tring to figure out why, when playing a recording, and you fast-forward a bit, the recording will act as if it reached the end.

Let me explain more.

Lets say I am watching a 30 minute recording. and at 26 minutes into the recording there is a commerical, *but* comskip missed it, and I fast-forward one time (60 seconds), the recording will end. Just as if it reached the end and exited. I know there was at least 4 minutes, minus the 1 minute from the ff, left in the show, but gb-pvr thought it reached the end.

I deleted the comskip files from the directory and tried again. Same thing. This happens on most, but not all recordings. Also, if I dont skip ahead near the end of a recording, it plays fine. Could there be a problem between where gb-pvr thinks the end is, and where it actually is?

Hope I havent rambled!

Thanks all!

I can not help you with the ff problem because I don't use GBPVR for playback but I like to help with comskip not detecting the commercial.
What version of comskip do you run?
P4 3GHz 1GB, 250GB, nVidia dualTV, GBPVR 1.3.11, XP

0.77.61

it always seems to miss commericals toward the end of recordings. I just figured comskip used timing between commericals as a guide. and i think they cram more commericals at the end of shows.

i could be wrong.

Would it be possible for you to set
output_framearray=1
and
verbose=10
in you comskip.ini and then for a show where it missed the last commercials(s) to zip the the .log and the .csv together and to mail me these files?
Also please make a copy of the .txt file with the extension .ref and edit the numbers so they reflect the position of the commercials as you think they should have been detected. Include this file in the zip file. This will make it easier for me to find the errors.
I can receive mails upto 10MByte.
