Hi Sub,

No errors in GBPVRTray.exe.log at all (re memory usage issue). In fact no entries in it for 2 days (since I last rebooted I'm guessing).

Re 0kb file recording issue (I'm not sure if the two are linked), I've attached the logs again (the failed recording event was at 07:00) however the logs don't seem to indicate a problem (i.e. gbpvr doesn't seem to know about it).

At 07:17 when I try to play back the recording the "GBPVR.exe-native-2.log" log seems to see the 0kb file as an issue when trying to play back:

07:17:07.049 ERROR DirectShowHelperVMR9::playFile() - Waited ten seconds, and file size is still zero!!!

Can you post your GBPVRTray.exe.log?

Yes, that is what you'd get if you tried to play a file that is 0 bytes long.

Hi Sub,

Here are the logs from the the last and 2nd last (I think it was the 2nd last which would align with the previous log times I sent you). Does this help?

[Also I've deactivated Cybersitter for a while - just to see whether the 0kb problem might be related to this somehow - so far no 0kb recordings, however it's only been 24 hours so I'll wait and see]

I was finding that if my monitor had gone to sleep I'd often get a 0byte file when doing a scheduled recording. (Yes, the monitor! I already had the rest of the power saving features turned off.) Since I've stopped the monitor from going to sleep and just turn it off when I'm not using it, I've had no further problems.

Good Luck

thats interesting - this doesn't match up with the 5% of the time for me where I miss a recording - best guess for the moment is my Cybersitter filter software (which I've now turned off) - still to early to judge if it's solved it - if it does I'll still not really understand whats going on and why this worked - if it does I'll then have to think about whether I want to leave the filter software off in the household Smile
