How to undo Hauppauge Remote Fix?

I tried running the "fix remote" thing and now my remote doesn't work in GB-PVR or WinTV2000. I was using it to control WinTV2000 without problems right before I tried this, so I know the remote and receiver are fine. I did run "Restart IR." How do I undo whatever it is that "fix remote" did, so that I can at least use my remote in WinTV again?

It just adds a few lines of code to the end of the file and shouldn't affect the operation in other programs. I would just try downloading the most recent copy of the remote software from hauppauge and install it. I suppose you could delete irremote.ini from the windows (or is it windows/system32?) to make sure you get a new copy when you reinstall.

Also, there is a "use direct access to hauppauge remote" option in config. I dont' use this option so I don;t know how it behaves but you could make sure this is unchecked before trying anything else.

It just adds a [GB-PVR] section to the irremote.ini, so you can easily edit this to remove it.

Okay, thanks for the info. The weird thing is... I looked at my irremote.ini file, and it didn't seem to have any GB-PVR entries in it. Maybe there was some other problem that happened at exactly the same time by some freak coincidence... But I'll try backing up that file next time just in case...
