I've read somewhere that it's ok to change the GBPVR resolution from 720X480 to 360X240, and that because i'm watching it on a TV, i'd get better file compressions and such... (it was technical and i'm not technical).

I don't really see the difference, yet, but i'm wondering if someone can shed light on this...
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

I'm watchin on a tv (analog) and use the 720....looks fine, but wouldn't mind hearing other experiences

Changing the way it looks on the TV has absolutely nothing to do with file compression.
All it may do, is reduce the visual quality while watching.
Whoever wrote that bit of useless information doesn't have a clue what they're talking about.
You can never have enough tuners!

Actually I think he may be speaking of lowing the Resolution of the recorded video, halving the resolution of the recorded video by half virtically and half horizontally would theoretically make the file size a quarter of what they are and if he's happy with the picture quality then it should greatly reduce the file sizes. Infact the "LOW" quality recording setting defaults to the lower res - Or at least it does on the Hauppauge MCE500 setup.
