I have a channel named "Discovery Travel & Living"

and it seems as GBPVR does not like the "&" letter

below is from my XMLTV file
<display-name lang='sv'>Discovery Travel & Living</display-name>
if I set a channel in GBPVR config with & no EPG data is loaded

if I change in the XMLTV manually to "Discovery Travel and Living"
<display-name lang='sv'>Discovery Travel and Living</display-name>
i.e. I change "&" to "and" and make this the channel name in GBPVR

- everything works and I get listings in TV guide

Is this a bug ?

or is there a way around this?

(except for me manually changing the XMLTV file everyday)

Yes, this is a bug in your XMLTV grabber. Its actually illegal to have that character in an XML file. The grabber should be generating valid XML like below, which uses the correct & escape code.

<display-name lang='sv'>Discovery Travel & Living</display-name>

Doing this, GB-PVR will correctly show 'Discovery Travel & Living'
