Hi all. I just installed GBPVR and I love except for 2 issues I'm having.

I'm using the Hauppauge IR blaster to control my STB. It works fine for changing channels on live tv but when I schedule a recording, it doesn't change the channel so I get the wrong show recorded.

Also, when I play a DVD there's no audio:confused: .

Any ideas? Thanks.

Otherwise, GB's awesome. It looks very user friendly and works great with the Hauppauge remoteBig Grin .

My problem is that the GB-PVR sends the two digits to far apart, but I'm using USB-UIRT...

Reconfigure you capture source to use the '.exe channel changer' and point it at c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\haupblast.exe

Try configuring it to use a different audio decoder.

Like a charm!

I tried both the IntervideoCSS and the MPEG decoder. No audio Sad

Also is there a way to set GBPVR to autoplay a DVD when inserted?

I'm fairly sure neither the 'InterVideo NonCSS decoder' or the 'MPEG Decoder' can handle the CSS encrypted DVD audio.

Do you have any DVD software like Cyberlink PowerDVD or Intervideo WinDVD installed? Either of these should give you an audio decoder capable this.

Actually no, I don't have any DVD playing software since my puter crashed, and the disks are gone thanks to the hurricane so I guess I have to get a DVD player. Which is better? Powerdvd or Windvd?

ah, I dunno. I hate these types of questions. I'll leave it for someone else.

I've just gotten my setup with a Hauppauge 150 working quite nicely thanks to all the help from this forum (thanks Sub for the tip with changing the channel changer to .exe). I just installed Win DVD 7 and now I have a new set of Audio and Video encoders (or decoders, I forget which as I'm not at the computer right now.) It's working great with the Intervideo plugins now, but I would suggest just using a dvd program like WinDVD or PowerDVD as your dvd playing program and skip GB-PVR as there might be a little more functionality (no offense, Sub, I just didn't have much luck with the built-in DVD player.) I also setup the irremote.ini file so that I can press certain buttons on my remote to open WinDVD and then control all (or most) of the features in WinDVD. Works great. (Now, to find a channel changer for my Sapphire ATI Theater 550 Pro so it will work just as nice is this hauppauge Smile )
