I know, I know, should be using NPVR :-)
But most odd thing - since the change to 8spk I cannot get either BBC HD channel. It was previously DVB-S2, so the only change seems to be the change to 8spk and fec of 23.
I don't usually scan for channels - I manually edit the scan.cache as it's quicker. I am using;
Code:
T:10847,V,23000,23,70~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2050~P:6941~V:5400~VTYPE:H264~A:5401~L:eng(AC3)~PMT:260~TXT:5403~PCR:5400~N:>BBC One HD (AC3)
T:10847,V,23000,23,70~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2050~P:6940~V:5500~VTYPE:H264~A:5501~L:eng(AC3)~PMT:258~TXT:5503~PCR:5500~N:>BBC HD (AC3)
Also tried a manual scan of 10847 V 2/3 - but it cannot find any channels - in fact it says there is no signal at all.
I thought it maybe my Nova HDS2 card not liking 8spk, but they do work in WinTV....
Any ideas? Any die-hard GBPVR users able to share their tuning strings?

Doh! meant to post this in the GBPVR legacy section - and I don't know how to move it. Sorry!

Great, thank you and good luck! If I have a break-through I will also share. I am wondering if it it the S2 decimal value of 70 that is wrong?
(pilot="-1" rolloff="35" - I know the Da-Vinci code of how to contruct these values from a bit-mask has been posted many times, but it still confuses me!)

These are the ones I have just scanned (but not tested as yet).

Code:
T:10847,V,23000,23,70~NID:0~ONID:0~TSID:2050~P:6940~V:5500~VTYPE:H264~A:5502~L:NAR~PMT:258~TXT:5503~PCR:5500~N:>BBC HD
T:10847,V,23000,23,70~NID:0~ONID:0~TSID:2050~P:6940~V:5500~VTYPE:H264~A:5501~L:eng(AC3)~PMT:258~TXT:5503~PCR:5500~N:>BBC HD (AC3)
T:10847,V,23000,23,70~NID:0~ONID:0~TSID:2050~P:6941~V:5400~VTYPE:H264~A:5402~L:NAR~PMT:260~TXT:5403~PCR:5400~N:>BBC One HD
T:10847,V,23000,23,70~NID:0~ONID:0~TSID:2050~P:6941~V:5400~VTYPE:H264~A:5401~L:eng(AC3)~PMT:260~TXT:5403~PCR:5400~N:>BBC One HD (AC3)
T:10847,V,23000,23,70~NID:0~ONID:0~TSID:2050~P:6945~V:5500~VTYPE:H264~A:5502~L:NAR~PMT:259~TXT:5503~PCR:5500~N:>6945
T:10847,V,23000,23,70~NID:0~ONID:0~TSID:2050~P:6945~V:5500~VTYPE:H264~A:5501~L:eng(AC3)~PMT:259~TXT:5503~PCR:5500~N:>6945 (AC3)

I used the following entry in the satellite ini file and it found the above
1=10847,V,23000,23,70

good luck
Martin

p.s. thanks whoever for moving...

Update: - even though it scanned then and put the entries into the cache file, recording gives a 0 byte file.
More in the morning when I have a bit of time.

(nova S2 PCI card).

Yes thank you to whoever moved the thread.
Impressed you got them to scan - as stated, when I tried it did not detect anything at all! But same as you found; they do not work for either Live TV or recording:-(
I tired NPVR - I have had it installed since first out, and I updated it and used the Freesat only tuning file posted on the NPVR forums. It found the two main BBC channels and they do work fine. However it did not find Channel 4 HD nor the regional variants of the ITV and BBC HD channels - for example there was no STV HD or ITV Granada HD.
Looking at all the HD channels at King of Sat, they are all Qpsk apart from these new BBC 8psk ones, and as all the others work it must be something to do with 8psk?

Is that the one that I post? It should find everything, but I've not tested it for a while Rolleyes - I'll try to do a full rescan at some point tomorrow. I can't remember if STV HD is in it or not though, as it's not technically part of the freesat EPG so I might have left it off.

Yes it was the one you posted imilne - but NPVR is still the undiscovered country for me and it could well be down to user error! It took me half an hour just to find the satellites.xml file used by NPVR to add your tuning strings into it!
I don't know why I cannot adjust to NPVR - I just find it un-intuitive to use :-O

You should have been able to just drop the file in the tuning folder and it would've shown up in the drop down list.
