No sound with SVdeo recording on PVR500MCE

Hello, I am trying to convert some VHS tapes to MPG using a Hauppage PVR 500MCE and GBPVR. When I record from S-Vdeo there is no sound. I have the sound plugged into the L/R Audio Jacks on the Hauppage card.
What am I doing wrong??

Also..a bit off topic here, but how can I take these MPGs and make a DVD that I can play in a DVD player??

It'll awkward trying to use GB-PVR for this task. Its not the right tool for this job. I'd just use the Hauppauge WinTV2000 software.

Most DVD burning software will allow you to import the video files - WinDVD Creator, Ulead MovieStudio or MovieFactory etc....
