I just configured a new system with XP Pro and all the Microsoft updates.

Installing gbpvr, I get "error 1935" regarding wmppia. Nothing found on that in this forum.

Thanks in advance.

There was one other person that got this recently. I dont think there was a resolution though. Apparently it happens with some other applications as well - something about wmppia with the window .net 2.0 framework.

The error, discussed above, went away when I installed .NET on this newly configured disk. I loaded .NET 2.0 rather than 1.1.

Now, unfortunately, at the end of the installation, I get an error crash from config.exe which is a the gbpvr utiltity. Same crash if I run it from the menu.

WinTV2000 from Hauppauge runs fine.

I've uninstalled, rebooted, etc. To no avail.

This Win TV PVR USB2 ran OK on another PC here yesterday.

You'd need to give me a bit more to go on than that.

Not sure if this thread is too old to post in, but I am recieving the same error after installation. I also had the same problem with the .net framework and after installing 2.0 final, it allowed me to install without errors. The config.exe is giving me a rather vague error that is in the following screenshot.

If there is a log or something that I can retrieve and post, let me know how and I will get it. I am using a TV Wonder Elite and version 95.16 of GBPVR.

Edit:
The tuning assistant and mux checker are working correctly but along with the config, the tray recording server is receiving the same error.

I have the same problem. My PC crashed and I have now a new XP installation, with framework 2.0.
I get the same message, not able to open config.exe.

I will uninstall framework 2.0 and see if it makes any differences.

The framework 2.0 was the problem. I installed framework 1.1 instead, and I'm now able to open config.exe.

Worked for me as well, install GBPVR with 2.0 then install 1.1 and run.
