Video Archive "variable bit rate"?

In the Disk Space tab, there are entries for variable bit rates. What are they for? Do they change the rates I have set in the GB-PVR Capture Sources tab?

The variable bit rates on the tab do not effect how GBPVR records things. Instread they are used by the plug-in to estimate the amount of space a recording of a given duration will require.
