I am looking at setting up a PVR and using GB-PVR. But I have one question I am trying to anwser before I buy everything.

Can you have multiple Media MVPs with the GB-PVR software and be watching two different Live feeds?

Yes, assuming you have enough tuners available.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I am beginning to understand better. What happens in these scenerios?

Watching 'Laguna Beach' on MVP/TV #1 (using Tuner#1). I have 'Gilmore Girls' set to record in few minutes.
  • Will the software use Tuner#2 for the recording?

Say my wife turns on MVP/TV #2.
  • If she wants to watch 'Laguna Beach', will she be able to see the feed from Tuner#1?
  • If so, will she be able to pause, skip, and rewind independently of MVP/TV #1?

Say my wife hates 'Laguna Beach', so she turns on MVP/TV#2 15 minutes after 'Gilmore Girls' started.
  • Will she be able to watch the feed for Tuner#2 that is recording 'Gilmore Girls'?
  • Will she be able to start watching it at the beginning of the show?

If you're watching tv with a recording is scheduled to start soon on the same tuner, it'll try to move the recording to another tuner if one is a available. If it cant move the recording, then the tv will automatically stop when the recording is due to start.

Ok, well, that answers my first question, and sounds perfect. I know I will love the software. However, if my wife isn't happy with the new setup, I am back to Dish Network PVR. So how about these two important scenerios?

Say my wife turns on MVP/TV #2.

Both MVPs are independent of each other, and can pause/play/skip etc without knowledge of what the other MVP is doing.

You can watch shows while they are still recording, but she'll have to manually go into the 'recordings' screen and select to play the in-progress recording.
