Zap2it not working well in V.95.16???

I rebuilt my box earlier this week and thought I would upgrade to the newest version as well. So I rebuilt and downloaded and installed and have not been able to get it to work at all. My primary problem other than not being able to record was getting my listings from Zap2it. I would continuously tell me my EPG settings were wrong and to try again. I uninstalled re-installed till I was blue in the face. I did this with my Hauppauge drivers as well.

I then posted on zap2its forums to see if they were having problems. I tried to update again and it failed. I then immediately uninstalled 95.16 and rolled it back to v. 94.13 and did a quick 4 day update and it went just fine. So I rebooted and did a 7 day update and it too worked just fine. I added in my second card "150" and updated that as well and again had no problems with Zap2it.

With the newer version I could not get it to work but so far on an older version no problem.

I have not tested to see if it is recording or even showing a picture yet because I am at work doing all of this remotely.

Let me know if you think it is just me. I will try to update again...but it was a clean install from the operating system up.

Try editting config.xml to set <SaveZap2itXML>true</SaveZap2itXML>, then do the 'update epg' again and have a look if C:\zap2it.xml lists an error.

Hi sub,
I save the zap2it.xml file on my primary system, and then update another computer using it.

I did a fresh GBPVR load on a system last night, and pointed to the zap2it.xml file. It flashed the updating epg for a very short time, then returned to the config with no epg information.

I then used an xmltv grabber, and gbpvr loaded the grabbed file just fine.

I have the GBPVR generated zap2it.xml file if you want to look at it? (7-megs)
I couldn’t see any obvious errors but I don’t know what to look for.

Huh??? The zap2it.xml is a debug, it is not an xmltv file. You cant use it from another machine. There is nothing in GB-PVR that can read this file.

That would explain it....
I originally configured the second system using the grabber file, and then later pointed it to the zap2it.xml after I found the "save xml" option.
A fresh re-install of GBPVR just showed me it wasnt working at all.
I thought I was slowly loosing future listings,, but I've only been using GBPVR for a short time.
Time to stop searching, I have a few questions I’ll ask in a new thread.
