EPG, in Brisbane Australia

This is my first post here so go lightly.

A year ago I bought a AOPEN XCUBE for the lounge room with the intent of making it a multimedia centre. Well It hasnt happened thus far but Im now looking to fulfull the dream. This software looks like what Im after but before I make the plunge I have a number of concerns. Well see, I havent bought a TV tuner, yet, only because im finding it difficult to wade through the info on the net. As you can see from my sig, im in Brisbane Australia and after reading several posts im a little concerned that there might not be a freely available EPG. Cause im certainly not paying ICETV 3$ a week for a service i can get from http://www.yourtv.com.au for free.

So if theres anyone out there who is local and has any advice i would be ever so gratefull, on tips for a decent card and if EPG is available , freely in Bris, to get the most oout of this app.

I'm and Brisbane and have been running GBPVR for the past 18 months or so and it just keeps getting better and better. I use a hauppauge 150MCE for analogue s-video capture of foxtel digital. Having previously tried a cheaper capture card (prolink playtv@7000) with some success, things definately worked better with the hauppage card. However there was some negative impact of chopiness on the visionplus dvb-t card I was also running at the time. Something about the bt878 chip having shallow buffers.

I also recently added a dual tuner pci-e Terratec Cinergy 2400 dvb-t card for FTA which I really like so far. Was previously using a visionplus and a dvico t1 card which has now moved to a new home. Even tried the dvico dual tuner card but could never get the usb part of this tuner to work in my setup. This card was returned in the end after much frustration.

Im so flat out at work at the moment that I dont have time really to research in the evenings, well late evenings actually. But, I am looking to purchase a card in the next couple of weeks. I live in auchenflower and my reception for the standard tv is good, well probably better than good its just a cheap flat screen tube. My intention is to get the system set up, with the intent of after getting back from holiday in July getting a decent Flat panel display, although just read info at IGN regarding new wave of display panels. SED I think if i remember correctly which have a 100,00:1 contrast ratio made by panasonic and uber cool. But any suggestion guys on a circa $200AU card with slimline design for my little cubie.
