Has anyone gotten Girder 4 to work as a channel changer?

There were apparently quite a few changes between Girder 3 and 4.

The latest word on this I could find was here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=8429.

Which wasn't very promising..Girder 4 uses a different API than 3, which GBPVR doesn't support. :-(

I've tried several times, but at best, it doesn't work and at worst GB-PVR locks up.

That is the latest info.

I dont user Girder myself, but as I said in that thread, if anyone wants to provide some Girder4 code to send an event, then I'm happy to provide a girder4 channel changer, otherwise it'll most likely stay Girder3 only.

As always, thanks for the quick reply, Sub.

I'm also not sure if HIP can work for my application. Maybe some HIP experts can answer:

I need to send IR commands to my rotator for all channel changes. This works flawlessly now, using the USB-UIRT channel changer.

I wanted to use Girder to send additional IR commands to my Digital receiver, as well as the rotator, whenever a digital channel is requested.
To get to the sub-channels, I need to send "channel up" for each additional sub channel, so that channel 48-3 would be transmit a 4-8-up-up to the receiver, and a 4-8 to the rotator. I had the lua script worked out and debugged for this.

Can HIP do something this complex?
