Hi,

I'm looking for driver for the PVR150 MCE Kit of the Remote Control Transceiver (it's a USB IRT).

Everytime connect it to my WinXP Home Edition it detected as "eHome InfraRed Transceiver" and asked for driver as it couldn't installed by itself.

I have no problems with this unit when I'm using WinXP MCE 2005, but problems started when I tried to switch to use GB-PVR.

Please help as I couldn't find the specific driver in Microsoft's website nor in Hauppauge website.

Thanks,
Daniel K.T. Cheah

Your not going to find them. The drivers are not available outside of MCE2005 or WindowsXP (pro) w/ SP2. I got it working by locating the files in my winxppro computer and putting them on my win xp home computer. The files required are:

irbus.inf and irbus.sys.

Look for them on your MCE2005 and copy them to a locaiton you can remember on your winxp pc. When you plugin the MCE usb receiver point the new hardware wizard to the inf file. It will give you a error about not being certified or something but continue anyway. It will work. I did have to reboot after install to ge it working correctly.

I almost forgot, there is an alterntive driver for the MCE remote. But you need to use Girder or HIP and manually configure the buttons.

http://www.byremote.com.au/Hip/mce_remote_faq.htm
Link to the replacment driver FAQ.

Link to HIP.

Link to girder. Jeeze its starting to get expensive. I wish it still had a free version.

just a freindly poster had to struggle for days to find these created a great deal of agony and tention between myself and loved ones soooo if you may have lost them here are the drivers for the infrared remote controle. This goes to xp pro but will work for home to.
just download atachments to a folder and search for new hardware then when asks for location direct it to the folder where these are located wizard will do the rest. oh and as previosly stated it will tell you that they are not certified but they came strait from pro and work perfect for me. of course all Im doing with them is power point or cd radio volume controle but hey what more do you need? I attached the drivers to this post but I dont see them so????I had to compress as a zip file for it to let me upload so make sure you decompress before using.
