As I commented in v0.97.7 release announcement, and above, there was a leak that would affect DVB-T users.

You could try setting the <BDAUsePsiParser> setting to 'false' to see if it helps.

I've been having the same problem on my system. I have 2GB of ram and have seen the RecordingService go over 1GB of memory usage. I changed <BDAUserPsiParser> to false and it seems to have stopped it growing. In fact i just saw it shrink slightly.

So, am i right in saying that the only thing i won't get is EPG guide data via the DVB stream? Or is it more than that?

I think that you won't be able to do a rescan properly, either.

I'll have to remember to turn the option back on, at least until i upgrade to the latest version. I'm currently still running 96.12. A day rarely goes by when something isn't being recorded, so upgrades are tricky.

There was a memory leak in the Psi Parse that was fixed in v0.97
